6 2 This chapter provides the following licensing information for RES 3700: Description of products. Prerequisite products. Entitled products and restricted use licenses. Hospitality Product Subproduct RES 3700 (POS) Base Software RES 3700 Point-of- Sale (POS) client software that is used to conduct transactions. 1 license is needed per Point of Sale terminal. POS: RES 3700 Foundation 1-4 RES 3700 Foundation 5-9 RES 3700 Foundation 10+ As part of your license to the Oracle programs you receive a restricted use license to Sybase SQL Anywhere DB. You may use the full capabilities of the SQL Anywhere DB only as part of the Oracle program. Your use, if any, of the SQL Anywhere DB with a third party application is restricted to read only access through the Oracle program. You do not have a license to directly connect any third party program to the SQL Anywhere DB and must access the SQL Anywhere DB through Oracle provided interfaces. 2-1

Foundation Upgrade: RES 3700 Foundation 1-4. A license for RES 3700 Foundation Upgrade contains a restricted-use license for RES 3700 PMS/SIM and RES 3700 SVC Gift Card Interface. Use of RES 3700 PMS/SIM and RES 3700 SVC Gift Card is limited to use with RES 3700 Foundation Upgrade and may not be used or deployed for other purposes. Use of RES 3700 Transaction Services is limited to use with the Pay at the Table services for RES 3700 Credit Card Interface and may not be used or deployed for other purposes.
