2 Summary Investec Opera Holland Park is an opera company with a unique voice. Based in Kensington, we present an annual festival of fully staged productions in a setting that combines the best aspects of urban and country house opera under one roof. All year round we present performances, discussions and cultural events in partnership with local venues, unlocking the world of opera. Through accessible pricing, education and outreach programmes and family events we bring critically acclaimed work to the widest possible audience. 3 Box Office Assistant (casual) Reports to: Box Office Supervisor Main Purpose of the Job To undertake the selling of tickets from the Box Office, and answer general enquiries about the Investec Opera Holland Park season and other events throughout the year To assist the Box Office Supervisor in the daily running of the Box Office and provide excellent customer service at all times To provide broad administrative support to the Box Office and ticketing team Sales and Customer Service To process sales for a wide range of events and products, including operas, picnic tables, programmes and members events, both over the phone and in person To be one of the main points of contact for OHP audiences and members, upholding the highest standards of customer service at all times To actively promote Opera Holland Park and the performances and membership schemes the company has on offer, upselling and cross-selling where relevant Respond, resolve and record customer feedback and complaints Remain fully informed about Opera Holland Park and its upcoming events General Data entry and general administrative help on our ticketing database Tessitura, including updating customer records and special requests Print and prepare tickets for post and collection With the Box Office Supervisor, help to uphold regular communication channels with the Front of House team and the Events & Visitor Services Manager during the summer season, particularly in relation to picnic bookers and refreshments ordered on the Box Office system Adhere to company procedures and systems at all times, ensuring that best working practices are adhered to and to promote best practices to all other employees Help to upkeep filing, promotional displays, stationery and other Box Office resources Keep the in-person box office clean and presentable at all times Manage upkeep and accuracy of the venue's mailing list and database records, undertaking regular data cleansing to avoid duplicate accounts Adhere to financial and data protection regulations, policies and practices In the absence of Box Office Supervisor, manage holds and release seats in line with company policy

4 Produce ticket breakdowns, guest lists and sales reports for events and performances as required Answer general telephone enquiries, passing on and following up with other staff members as required Help to manage the free tickets scheme for older and younger audiences, processing applications, liaising with customers and allocating tickets Undertake other tasks as may be reasonably requested, including general office administration The duties and responsibilities outlined in this job profile are indicative of the role, however they are not exhaustive and may be subject to change. 5 Person Specification Essential IT proficient accurate typing and spelling Confident, polite and clear telephone manner; excellent customer service skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to interact with a wide range of people Desirable Previous Box Office or sales experience Familiar with Tessitura ticketing database Interest and knowledge of opera and the wider cultural scene in London Calm and efficient manner Ability to work in a busy Box Office where high standards of service are required Time management and organisational skills Experience in cash handling and credit/debit card/cheque processing Ability to work as part of a small friendly team To apply for the role please your CV with a covering letter supporting your application for the role to: info@operahollandpark.com.
