5 Job Description Job Title Reports To Marketing Executive Marketing Manager Background Information Join our award-winning marketing team at the MAC. Since opening in 2012, the MAC has quickly become a beacon for the ongoing regeneration of Belfast with an eclectic programme of visual art, theatre, dance, family workshops and lots more. Main Purpose of Job We are looking for an ambitious and highly driven Marketing Executive to join our small team, where you ll work in a fast-paced and target driven environment on a wide range of marketing campaigns. As a key member of the MAC s marketing team, you will be responsible for driving income for the MAC as a direct result of targeted marketing campaigns, box office sales, and working closely with lots of internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be brimming with ideas, enthusiasm and knowledge with a marketing background.

6 Key tasks and responsibilities Marketing & Communications You will contribute to the successful delivery of the MAC s marketing and sales strategy. You will co-ordinate and support marketing activity that delivers positive return on investment and deliver events for specific campaigns. You will provide general marketing support for print production, sponsorship and corporate partnerships, and other activities to help grow the MAC s customer base via online and digital marketing. CRM (Audience Development) You will implement the MAC s digital marketing strategy and drive this strategy by identifying and exploring new digital opportunities and ideas. You will have responsibility for delivering the MAC s CRM strategy, marketing, composing and sending e-newsletters, website development, reporting and analysis. Website and e-communication You will develop the MAC s website to improve user-friendliness and its capability as a sales tool, including online advertising, sourcing content SEO and copywriting. Communication You will display excellent communication skills in written and oral communication, both internally and externally with press and customers. You will be required to write creative copy and to produce and distribute marketing campaigns. Relationship Management Work closely with two key service providers our digital agency and MAC s ticketing system. You will report directly to the Marketing Manager as a key member of the Marketing Communications team, and will liaise with colleagues in the Marketing, Programming and Learning & Participation Departments.

7 Why working at the MAC is great Getting to know the MAC MAC staff will receive an allocation of complimentary tickets for any MAC show, at any time. They are a great way to become familiar with our fantastic programme of events. Exhibition training with our Curator Every three months, the exhibitions in our galleries are changed. At this time you ll receive in depth training from our Curator (and quite often from the artist themselves) on the forthcoming exhibition. Invitations to gallery previews with opportunities to meet the artist When a new exhibition opens, the MAC always hosts a preview evening. Staff are invited to the preview evening for a chance to see the exhibition exclusively before opening to the public. Enjoy your birthday off It s your birthday? Have the day off - on us!

8 Personnel Specification Quality Essential Desirable Qualifications Experience Knowledge Skills and Behaviours A third level qualification, preferably in a marketing related degree. Alternatively, applicants without a degree may apply but must have at least 3 years marketing experience. A minimum of 1 years experience in a busy marketing environment. Experience of delivering successful marketing campaigns against targets. Knowledge and experience of online and digital marketing media. Knowledge of current and future digital platforms for effective use in marketing campaigns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Copywriting and proof-reading skills. Experience of managing print and digital production. Experience of using system. Excellent networker with the ability to establish and maintain a variety of internal and external relationships. Excellent organisational, project and time management skills. Positive team player and ability to work collaboratively on projects. Personal commitment to achieving high performance within the workplace. Competent in the use of Microsoft office packages. Marketing degree Experience of working within a target driven deadline environment. Experience of managing designers and print-production. Experience of segmented marketing. Knowledge of the market and potential audiences. Experience of CRM. Experience of a content management system.
