Furthermore, by signing below I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Jekyll Island Authority from any claims whatsoever arising for my participation as a vendor and any theft loss, or damage to the person or property of the undersigned while in possession of under the supervision of Jekyll Island Authority during Jekyll Island Shrimp & Grits Festival. No refunds or credits will be issued for vendor cancellation, inclement weather cancellation or an Act of God. By signing this agreement, I agree to allow the JIA and its contracted photographer/videographer to photograph and video my/business appearance at the event without further compensation. I also agree to participate in Half Price Night (9/14/18) by providing a half price sample served in a 6-oz. container. 3 Jekyll Island Shrimp & Grits Festival Official Requirements for Shrimp & Grits Vendors Due Date: Postmarked Application Deadline: Friday, June 22, 2018 Only packages containing application, current certificate of liability, menu and payment will be put before the selection committee for consideration. Notification Date: All accepted applicants will be notified via of acceptance/denial no later than July 13, Please do not contact us about the status of your application. Accepted applications will receive an notification welcoming them to the event and a vendor package of information weeks prior to the festival. Refunds: An accepted application is a commitment to participate in the Shrimp & Grits Festival, which is an outdoor rain or shine event. Therefore, there will be NO REFUNDS for any reason after a vendor is accepted into the festival including an Act of God. You must present a current Certificate of Liability Insurance in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 with the Jekyll Island Authority listed as additionally insured. Jekyll Island Authority will determine vendor locations. No dumping of waste on the ground will be allowed. All waste must be disposed of in the proper receptacles located within the venue. If caught dumping waste on the ground you will be fined $500, asked to leave the festival and forfeit involvement in future events. You must serve Shrimp & Grits as one of your dishes. All vendors are required to provide a 6-oz. sample at half price on Friday night. The official grits sponsor for 2018 is to be determined. Grits may be purchased from sponsor at a discounted rate. Once determined, Shrimp & Grits food vendors will be ed with an announcement of the sponsor and their contact information. Vendors may not use Styrofoam. As we move toward making our event ecofriendlier we encourage you to use paper or recycled products. VENDOR MAY ONLY SELL PREAPPROVED MENU ITEMS Vendors may not sell or give away any type of alcoholic beverage. Vendors may not sell prepackaged food items or gift baskets. Vendors may not sell merchandise (such as but not limited to cookbooks, hats, aprons, t-shirts, etc.) Vendors may have a giveaway item that is preapproved by JIA such as but not limited to fans, bottle openers, beads, etc. Signs & Banners: All booth banners must have easy to read lettering or your logo on a white background. Main banner must be attached to your provided tent and cannot exceed 20 feet. Adjacent signs must be kept attached to your booth. Friday, September 14 is Half Price Night. Guests will be able to purchase a 6 oz. sample of Shrimp & Grits at half price. Load In & Setup: Friday, September 14, 2018, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. o Friday load-in & setup is 11am 3pm. All vendors arriving after 3 p.m. will not be allowed in under any circumstance. 3

4 o Thursday, September 13th - A Thursday load-in can be scheduled for an added charge. Only those that prepay and schedule a load-in time will be allowed Early Load-in on Thursday. No payments will be taken onsite. Festival Operation Hours: o September 14, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. o September 15, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. o September 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No early teardowns or departures. You must be Open-for-Business by 4 p.m. on Friday, September 14 until completion of the event at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 16 during Festival Operation Hours. Overnight security will be on site Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights. Change Banks: Please come prepared. The Jekyll Island Authority will not be able to provide change banks. Water source is not potable. Bring our own water. The vendor agrees to keep the leased space and surrounding area clean and clear of all garbage and debris. Ice may be available for sale from JIA main bar at $15 per bag, but is not guaranteed. Bring your own ice. Electricity is limited on-site. We encourage you to bring several 50 to 100 extension cord to reach your booth. Coca-Cola is an official sponsor of this event. You may only sell Coca-Cola products. Parking: All vendor vehicles and trailers will be provided parking in a designated area. Vendors that do not park in that area will be asked to move. Food vendors are permitted to keep a trailer for supplies behind their set-up. Georgia Sales Tax: Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting all Georgia Sales Tax. Jekyll Island Parking Fee: The Jekyll Island State Park parking fee applies to all vendors. The parking fee will be increased during this event. The fee is an additional $4 per daily/weekly pass; annual passes are not impacted. A vendor understands that the space size they lease shall accommodate their unit, including any hitch and awnings and that you will be charged for additional space should you go over your designated area. Space is limited and all equipment, supplies, and display must be located within the dimensions of the designated space. The overall appearance of your vending area, as well as your staff, is considered for involvement in future events. Vendors agree to keep their lease space and surrounding area clean and clear of all garbage and debris. Within their own space, vendors will provide garbage containers for their customers use. Please note that the overall behavior of your business and your staff is also considered for involvement in future events. 4

Now in its thirteenth year, more than 45,000 guests attend the Shrimp & Grits Festival. This annual three-day event will be held September 14-16, 2018 in Jekyll Island s National Historic Landmark District. 5
