4 Description of Changes (Service Pack 1) EMV Kernel This software release contains a new version of the EMV kernel. The version listed in Management > Terminal Configuration > More Options > EMV Configuration > Terminal EMV Configuration will be This kernel has been tested according to EMVCo Type Approval Terminal Level 2 Test Cases document version 4.3d November, Changes from EMV Kernel The following changes have been made from version 1.0.0: - Support new test cases Interoper 29 02, and MTIP 31 USM Application label incorrect when issuer code table index supported - General memory leak fixes Support of US Application IDs (AIDs) This load file adds the following application ID to the available list of EMV applications: - Visa US: A Maestro US: A Discover: A Discover US: A JCB US: A DNA US: A All of these applications are enabled by default. Automatically Select US EMV Applications This update adds the capability for the ATM to automatically select US applications over other applications with the same IIN on a chip card. The US AIDs are designated as priority applications in this software update. Magstripe Card Read Behavior This software version changes the method in which magstripe cards are read with EMV enabled at the ATM: If a magstripe only (non-chip) card is removed before the system finishes attempting to read the chip, the ATM will continue to process the card as magstripe. If a chip card is removed before the system finishes attempting to read the chip, the ATM will instruct the customer to re-insert the card and leave it in the reader until instructed. 5 Description of Changes (Service Pack 2) Motorized Card Reader This software release adds support of the Sankyo ICT3K7 motorized card reader. Rear Service Panel Denomination Change When changing the cassette denominations from the rear service panel, the user is now required to remove/replace cassettes during this process for enhanced security. Rear Service Panel Cassette Close In the previous software version, when performing a cassette close from the rear service panel, the user would not be able to perform a second cassette close without logging back into Management Functions. This has been fixed. EMV Tag for MasterCard Balance Inquiry This software releases will now send a 9C tag value of 30 for all MasterCard EMV balance inquiry transactions (previously the value was 31). This applies to the following applications: MasterCard, Maestro, Cirrus, and Maestro US. Previously only Maestro US used this value. EMV PIN Change Previously performing a PIN Change transaction with an EMV card required the ATM host to send an issuer script to update the PIN on the ICC. Since some hosts to do not use offline PINs, this requirement has been removed and will allow a PIN Change without a valid issuer script from the card issuer. ADVT Test Case 8 Previously Visa was allowing ADVT Test Case 8 to not fallback since the test was informational only. The latest EMV spec now specifies this test should fallback. Discover Update This update contains changes to support new Discover test cases E2E_17 and E2E_54. MTIP This software release contains an update to support test case MTIP (version 15A). Transfer Transactions For transfer transactions with chip card, approve transaction based on host authorization (request AAC from chip). Visa Plus Update This update contains a fix for a specific Visa Plus card that was causing an application error. Triton Systems Page 5 of 7 September 16, 2016

6 POS Entry Mode Flag Previously the POS Entry Mode Flag, indicating a fallback transaction, would be sent anytime the ATM falls back to magstripe. Per US EMV guidelines, this has been changed to only send this flag if the terminal cannot read the card s chip due to technical issues with the chip. ADVT Test Case 11 Previously if the customer chooses the blocked application, the terminal removes the blocked application but selects the remaining valid application automatically and continues with the transaction. With this update, the ATM will always require cardholder confirmation for any remaining applications if one has been removed after selection by the cardholder.
