5 Getinge floor-loaded sterilizers 5 ERGONOMIC SOLUTIONS FOR STERILIZATION AND DISTRIBUTION Getinge floor-loaded hospital sterilizers are specially designed for Central Sterile Processing/ CSSD, Sterile Processing and hospital laundries. The distinguishing features of Getinge s floorloaded hospital sterilizers are that they are: well suited for efficient bulk sterilization of similar goods like linen and procedure packs ergonomically designed with total integration of the distribution system of sterilized goods and the goods carrier in the sterilizers, therefore requiring no reloading. After unpacking and packing and sterilization, the goods are loaded on distribution trolleys (so-called BUS or DTO units), according to procedure or receiving customer. This means that no reloading is required and the work in the sterile store is minimized. Accessible and robust In spite of the extremely compact modular design, all components are easily accessible for maintenance from one side. Chambers and steam jackets of solid, acid proof stainless steel are precision robot-welded for consistently superior quality. Doors, as well as the robust framework, are made of stainless steel. Faster and safer doors The pneumatically operated door slides horizontally to close a Getinge first that is faster and saves space, while offering proven, handsfree convenience. Getinge s doors include all interlocking safety devices prescribed by the world s safety standards, and since the surface temperature of the door never exceeds 45 o C (113 o F), the risk of burn injuries is eliminated. 6 6 Getinge floor-loaded sterilizers MANUAL LOADING DISTRIBUTION TROLLEY DISTRIBUTION USE STORAGE DISINFECTION STERILIZATION AUTOMATED UNLOADING EASY OPERATION The full load is unloaded, fully automatically, into the sterile store after finalized process staff supervision unnecessary. The sterilizers in the pictures are 820x1580x2250 mm (WxHxD), using the special sterilizable BUS/DTO trolleys for modular wire baskets.

7 Getinge floor-loaded sterilizers 7 PACS 3500 HIGH PRECISION, YET SO SIMPLE The advanced PACS 3500 PLC meets FDA requirements and is specially developed for Getinge sterilizers and washer-disinfectors. It s designed to handle just about any operation you can imagine in this field with consistently superior results. The automatic diagnosis of faults means faster service and lower costs. Full process control Getinge floor-loaded sterilizers are equipped with the PACS 3500 microprocessor controllers (FDA pre-validated), Getinge s technically advanced units that give you full control of the process. The programs available can be tailored to fit just about any sterilization requirements that you might have: High vacuum processes Processes with gravity air removal Flash cycles Processes with optional time and temperature Leak tests Bowie Dick type test Fluid sterilization processes Simplified service Whenever a fixed process or optional time and temperature are selected, the process program runs automatically, with its current status clearly indicated on the front panel, backed by a complete set of alarm functions. On the pass-through (two-door) models, there are indicator lights on the unloading side, as well as pressure gauges independent from the control unit. The PACS 3500 system may also be run manually if desired, and all process parameters can be manually adjusted.
