2 The Hill BSS Who are we? The Hill Business Students Society (Hill BSS) looks to enhance the university experience for all undergraduate students at the University of Regina s Paul J. Hill School of Business. The Hill BSS runs events that are driven toward connecting corporates and students to ease the transition from student to employee. Who are you? We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help us execute these events within our faculty, school and community. Applicants must be willing to commit their time to making the Faculty of Business a rewarding and fun place to be. All Hill BSS council positions that are available are listed below find the one that is right for you!

4 Portfolios Social / Academic Do you want to run a networking, social or charity event? Do you want to take charge of your own event? The Academic and Social Event portfolios might be for you! Student Affairs The students of the Hill School of Business are our top priority. This portfolio has positions for every group to ensure that the needs of the students are always put first. $ Finance It takes a lot of money to run an organization. We need committed and detail-oriented students to help us keep track of every dollar! Corporate Relations This portfolio is about connecting with the corporate community and ensuring that they are proud to support us. Our corporate community plays a huge role in the success of our organization; this portfolio needs professional and focused students to maintain those relationships. Marketing Our marketing team works hard to put on lounge parties, host cabarets, get students excited for our larger events and spread the word through social media and creative promotions.

5 Welcome Week Team (4) Start the year off right! Put together an amazing presence for our day on the green, organize a fun and exciting orientation day and throw our annual Casino Night! Business Dinner Co-Chair (2) The Annual Business Dinner is this school s legacy. Over 40 years of tradition, this event is our largest attended event and something we take pride in! Take on the challenge of working on a large scale corporate event! Hill Case Competition Team (4) HCC has been a hit, and this year we are hoping to make it bigger and better! This position requires a lot of logistical work mixed with a whole lot of fun! Winter Gala Co-Chair (2) Everyone needs to relax at the end of the semester before finals begin. Work with another co-chair to organize an environment for that celebration!

6 Taste of Networking Co-Chair (2) Taste of Networking has been a hit for the last two years. If you are looking to organize an event that connects students and corporates for the benefit of each party, this one is for you! 5 Days for the Homeless Co-Chair (2) 5 Days is our largest charity event. It runs across Canada and we pride ourselves in the money we can raise based on our size! This is a huge project with an organizing committee to back you up. We need motivated individuals with big hearts to help reach our goal! Keg-a-Rama Co-Chair (2) As our second charity event operating after 5 Days, we got creative and disguised this as a good time as well as a charity event! This event requires a lot of logistical planning and caution to ensure student safety all the way through! Spring Gala Co-Chair (2) The year is winding down and we could all use a break! Spring Gala pulls everyone together one last time before finals and summer!

7 Promotional Directors (3) Our promotional director is in charge of digital and print promotional materials for our flagship event. These include such things as digital posters, print-ready posters, menu cards, and the like. A background with programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator is a requirement. Videographer (1) Our videographer is in charge of filming and editing the promotional videos and recap videos for all of our flagship events. A background in video production is required. Lounge Party Coordinator (1) The description is in the name, plan the biggest shakers in the lounge! Web Designer (1) Our web designer is in charge of updating the website throughout the year to ensure that it provides visitors with the most up to date information and content as it is created (videos and photos). As our website is built on WordPress, a background with web design using this platform is required. Social Media Manager (1) Our social media manager will be in charge of posting to and monitoring all of our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat). They will be required to put together content calendars for each channel and will be required to provide insight on analytics of specific channels to help us determine what is working and what is not in terms of post location, content, time, etc.

8 Photographer (1) A picture is worth a thousand words. Help the BSS write those words as the photographer this year. A background in photography would be helpful! Student Life Coordinator (1) Professional headshots? Pre-Rider Game Parties? Networking 101 sessions? Study sessions? There is a lot the BSS can do to improve the day to day lives of students. This new position looks to spearhead creative initiatives that are for the benefit of students! Club Coordinator (1) With many clubs popping up on campus the club coordinator will work to keep communication with all clubs so the BSS is able to act as a supporting body. This another new position that has room for creativity! Academic Coordinator (1) There are a lot of things that you cannot learn from a textbook. Help coordinate academic sessions with industry professionals to further educate our students about the business world. Conference Coordinator (1) Meeting students from across Canada is one of the most amazing experiences of getting involved while you are in school. We send students to business conferences and provide financial support to encourage these opportunities. Help us coordinate and recruit students to represent the Hill School of Business.

9 International Representative (1) It can be scary and confusing as an international student! Who better to help show our students the ropes than other international students? Help us build our multicultural presence in the faculty! Breakthrough Coordinator (1) The Breakthrough Program Coordinator is in charge of searching for first year students to join the BSS council in September. Once the first years are chosen, the coordinator acts as a mentor and guides the students through their first year on the council. Mentorship Coordinator (1) Everyone needs someone they can turn to in their early years to help get them engaged and confident at events! Our mentorship coordinator works all year to keep the relationships in the program strong and effective! HR Coordinator (1) Put your passion for HR to work and help the BSS with internal dynamics and recruiting new members.

10 Director of Corporate Relations (3-5) An essential component of the BSS is the furthering of corporate sponsorship! We are seeking selfmotivated individuals who are dedicated to maintaining and expanding our professional networks! Work and represent our society with real business professionals, while expanding our corporate outreach! Join us! Applications close March 25th
