B&R, Punjab, P.S.E.B./PSPCL, Centre/State/local Govt. Punjab for the work detailed on prescribed NIT which can be downloaded from our University website ( from to Tenders will be received up to 3.00 p.m. on and will be opened at 3.30 p.m. on the same day in presence of bidders who so ever are present. AT UNIVERSITY CAMPUS. 05 DNIT for the work of Installation of Laboratory sinks in Room No. 321,322 & 324 at IInd floor of G block at University Campus Time Period 45 days 30 days 30 days 21 days 30 days Tender will be accepted from those contractors who have experience in execution of similar type of works and should have registration with EPF, ESI, IT PAN, VAT and Service Tax. 2 TERMS & CONDITIONS The Contractor will be bound to follow the instruction stipulated below and no deviation from these conditions will be allowed under any circumstances. 1. The work will be executed confirming to Punjab PWD Specifications along with all corrections slips issued by the Chief Engineer Pb., PWD, Public Health Branch, Patiala and should be as per the drawing to this work as issued by the University and nothing extra on account of carriage, taxes, breakage, octroi etc. will be paid to you against the material at site. 2. Cement to be used at site will be of following make: Ambuja 53 Grade, Birla Plus, Binani OPC, ACC & JK 43 grade confirming to relevant ISI codes. 3. The dismantled material will be property of the University. The Contractor will have no claim on this account. 4. The contractor will organize his working in such a way that no disturbance is caused in the normal working of the University. 5. The Contractor will not be allowed to carry out any work involving use of cement on Sunday/National Holiday without the written permission of the Engineer in-charge. 6. It will be responsibility of the contractor to stack the dismantled material property and to deliver the same to Junior Engineer, if desired. 7. A security 5% of the bill amount to cover the cost that may be involved in removal of defects, imperfections or taking remedial measures in the work, which has been executed to be progressively, in all payments. This security will be refunded after three months of the completion of work as certified by the Er-in-charge with respect to satisfactory removal of all defects, imperfections, short comings and taking remedial measures, that may be necessary and after recording of final measurements of the work done, for which the certificate of the Er-in-charge would be conclusive. 8. Quantity of the work of any item may be increased/ decreased or any item omitted or substituted according to the requirement of the University and no claim on this account will be entertained. Any error in NIT can be corrected at any time as per CSR All samples of the material will be got approved from Er-in-charge before execution of the work. 10. No claim what so ever shall be entertained for any loss or damage caused by rains, flood or any act of God.

3 11. The Description of all the above items is subject to all the notes & clarifications on including the interim common schedule of rates in Metric Units and Pb. PWD Specification. 12. The period of contract has been mentioned in tender notice against each work. The work should be started within seven days from the date of issue of work order. 13. All notes and corrections of CSR 2010 are applicable for payment for works in plains. 14. Description of items given in brief. Incase, the specifications of item is not clear it will be as per Pb. PWD, B & R Specifications according to relevant ISI code and to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. 15. Extra item should be analyzed as per nearest rate of CSR and current market rate. Items will be paid provisionally during currency of work, however, rates will be finalized after submission A.O.R. by contractor and approval of competent authority. 16. Bill would be processed in Construction and Maintenance Section after submission of the bill by the Contractor. 17. If the work will not be completed by the Contractor the balance work will be got completed at his risk and cost. 18. Taxes as levied by the Government from time to time will be deducted from the bills. 19. Cleaning of all the spots of white washing, painting etc. over floors, walls & electric fixtures is the responsibility of the Contractor. Other wise it will be got done at the cost of the Contractor. 20. All the safety measures required for the safety of labour & campus community will be contractor s responsibility. If any accident will occur the responsibility will lie with contractor. 21. Any other item which is not covered in the order but available in the PWD Pb., common schedule of rate 2010 shall be CSR+CP. CP applicable on Contractor should have valid VAT, EPF, ESIC, PAN and service tax Number, etc. 23. In case of legal dispute if any, jurisdiction will remain with Patiala District Court only.
