We were founded in 1986 by a group of concerned residents wanting to support people in their local community. Our vision is for full citizenship for all people living with a mental illness in Australia. Our mission is to improve mental health and wellbeing in local communities. We use an evidence based approach called the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) to support people through our services. The CRM assists individuals to identify their personal strengths and values, to set goals and then helps them make progress towards achieving them. 2 Me Well (Mental Health & Wellbeing Australia) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Neami National operating within the National Disability Insurance Scheme framework. The NDIS is a person centred, market driven, social insurance scheme established to provide support for people who have a permanent or likely to be permanent disability for the whole of their lives. Position overview Reporting to the General Manager Financial Services the Systems Accountant brings a solid understanding and experience in applying the concepts of information technology, accounting and financial management. The Systems Accountant is responsible for meeting the requirements of the business through strategic partnerships and delivering innovation solutions. The specific activities include: Undertaking a review of current processes and policies, mapping and documenting flows; Identifying risks, implementing best practice Lean processes for efficiencies and controls; Providing systems training to Financial Services Users and partnering with them in relation to new system and reporting requirements, testing and implementation; GL Chart and ledger maintenance and administration functions; Establishing and maintaining governance systems related to change management; and Working as a liaison between the Financial Services team and the IT applications team to further develop and enhance systems. This is a key position within Neami and it is expected that the Systems Accountant maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity, displays a positive attitude and team focus, be enquiring and articulate. Period of employment Ongoing, subject to a 6-month probationary period. The position is full time and the hours of work are 9:00 am 5:30 pm Monday to Friday. The Systems Accountant may be expected to work some additional hours, including participating in meetings and having some on call responsibilities outside of ordinary working hours. Accountability This position reports directly to the General Manager Financial Services. Conditions of employment The terms and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Neami National Employment Agreement, - Corporate Support Services Level 5 Band 2 $87,140. A number of benefits are available to staff, including generous salary packaging with rewarding NFP fringe benefit tax exemptions. Criminal record checks are mandatory for all new appointments. Neami National will cover the cost of an Australian check. Where a new employee has lived outside of Australia for 12 months or more within the last 10 years, the cost of an International check will be borne by the applicant (~$142.00). 2 of 8

4 Section C: key responsibilities System Governance Participate in the design and maintenance of the Organisation GL Chart Carry out the administrative functions in relation to the GL Chart and ledger maintenance and changes Establish governance systems related to the maintenance of and changes to the GL Chart and ledger Liaise with the IT Applications team and external vendors as the Financial Services representative in relation to system maintenance, and changes Maintain User reference documentation and ensure it is up to date and accessible Reporting and Process Requirements Undertake a review of current processes and policies, mapping and documenting flows Identify risks, implement best practice processes/lean principles for improved efficiencies and controls Participate in the identification and collation of requirements for new reporting Work with Financial Services and the IT Applications team in the development of new processes and reports Carry out minor process or report changes as required e.g. addition of new business units and change of rules in existing routines (ETLs) Based on review, analysis and observations make recommendations for system and process improvements Process and Systems Development Participate in the development and documentation of processes or new process system requirements (e.g. TechnologyOne, Visicase, Expense Management or other) As part of the process/system project team participate and contribute to new system selection Play an active role in system testing and implementation including sharing knowledge to support new system adoption and learning Regularly review financial and reporting systems for integrity and operational efficiencies Report on areas of concern and make recommendations for change to the General Manager Financial Services Technical Skills Develop and maintain XLOne skills to build reports and queries related to actual, budget and forecast ledgers Develop and maintain skills to query and extract data from relevant systems related to Financial Services activities (including Visicase, Carelink and Tableau) Develop an understanding of the relevant Neami project management methodology and implement in practice to engage team members, track and report on project performance and enhance outcomes 4 of 8

5 Induction and Training Provide relevant systems induction to all members of the Financial Services team Work with the various teams to understand their processes and reports to contribute to enhanced user learning and process improvement Provide training on system changes and new systems as implemented Financial Services team Contribute to the development of the annual business plan and performance metrics Identify areas in which the Financial Services team can add value and contribute towards strategic aims and organisational needs Maintain appropriate links with relevant professional bodies and associations to remain informed on current trends Ensure that the General Manager Financial Services is kept informed of all pertinent developments and information Collaborate with all team members to ensure Neami s strategic directions and business goals are achieved Undertake duties as reasonably requested 5 of 8

6 Section D: Key competencies Essential Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting / business /IT Professional qualification (Australian CPA, UK CIMA or equivalent) 6+ years working in a accounting / finance system roles Experience with mid-sized ERP systems TechnologyOne preferred Experience with new system selection and implementation Shows confidence, maturity, integrity and a high level of enthusiasm and drive. Lean Six Sigma Certification and experience gained within audit and assurance systems testing will be highly regarded.
