1 Sponsorship Package A group of local volunteers is organizing TEDxTryon, a community conversation exploring the people, places, and experiences that shape our lives. This 1st annual Tryon/Carolina foothills event, held on September 12 th, 2015, will bring together dynamic speakers, performers, and local thought leaders. The goal? To be a catalyst to get the community talking, dreaming and growing together. TedxTryon is a Special Project of the Tryon Fine Arts Center, a community gathering place for entertainment and the arts since This event would not be possible without the generous support of our corporate sponsors and individual donors. We seek both in- kind and financial contributions from our community. Tryon Fine Arts Center is a 501(3)c, and therefore all donations are tax- deductible. TED is an annual event where some of the world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. "TED" stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design three broad subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future. And in fact, the event is broader still, showcasing ideas that matter in any discipline. Attendees have called it "the ultimate brain spa" and "a four- day journey into the future." The diverse audience CEOs, scientists, creatives, philanthropists is almost as extraordinary as the speakers, who have included Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Frank Gehry, Paul Simon, Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck and Bono. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created TEDx, a program of local, self- organized events that bring people together to share a TED- like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connections was TEDx s fifth year and it was a year of milestones! We offer a variety of sponsorship levels. Financial sponsors contribute toward the direct production costs of TEDxTryon and we also welcome in- kind contributions for all facets of the event. If your company provides a service or product that is a necessary component of our production, we will be happy to create a customized sponsorship package to compensate for your in- kind sponsorship. 2

4 More about In-Kind Sponsorship In addition to cash sponsorships, there are numerous ways you can participate through in- kind donations. We will customize benefits packages based on the relative value of the in- kind gift. Below are some areas we have identified but the range of possibilities is wide- open. 5 TEDxTryon SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT TEDxTryon will provide:! Up to 100 participants! Sponsor description will be provided (max.100 words) for TEDxTryon website Sponsor page! Approved item for conference gift bag on date to be specified Display Requirement: If the sponsor desires to have a display at the event site:! Signage for the display will be provided by the sponsor (in keeping with TEDxTryon overall program requirements)! Sponsor is responsible for installation, set- up and tear- down General Conditions The TEDx Rules, shown below, will be adhered to by the TEDxTryon organizers and sponsors. You should expect an invoice for the terms above within 15 days. Payment is required in full before each element of activation. TEDxTryon retains the full and sole discretion in selecting the main theme, the speakers, the topics, the structure, the participants and communication initiatives in relation the conferences as well as any other aspect that may influence the attendees' experience and the overall quality and level of the conference. No sponsor or partner will receive the right to present a TEDx Talk or get any stage time at TEDxTryon. This document is supplemented by a good faith agreement between the parties to cooperate in making TEDxTryon and the partnership a success.
