3 On Saturday 14 th July 2018, the third annual Croydon PrideFest is taking place. The last two years events have been a great success in bringing Pride to Croydon and we want to make 2018 the best event yet. The first year brought in a crowd of 3,000, which rose to 7,000 this year. We are expecting to draw in up to 10,000 for The day will begin with a Pride Parade at 12.30pm which will make its way along North End, through the centre of Croydon and head towards Wandle Park, where the main festival event will take place: a bigger venue than previously in anticipation of larger numbers attending. This year, for the first time, the festival will go on until 10pm. There will be a main stage hosting music and acts throughout the day, as well as a dance tent, a wide range of food and drink stalls, and community groups, businesses and charities showcasing their work. We have now set up Croydon Pride as a charity, in the interests of keeping the event completely free for the public for the coming years. We are hoping to pull the biggest crowd yet this year, so we are seeking your support and participation to ensure the day is the big success we all want it to be, and all know it can be. One way in which you can show your support is by becoming a formal sponsor of Croydon PrideFest There are Headline, Gold, Silver or Bronze sponsorship packages available, each coming with benefits for your business. There is also the opportunity for smaller businesses to become supporters, as well as the option to take out advertising space in a programme, which will be given out free to every attendee on the day: at least 5,000 programmes will be printed and distributed. 5 By sponsoring this event you will benefit from significant brand exposure, building your reputation in Croydon and the wider LGBTQ+ community. Croydon PrideFest is one of the largest Pride events in the South-East, alongside London and Brighton, and now has an established reputation in the community and we know from previous years that it draws in crowds not just from Croydon, but from across London and other surrounding areas including Surrey and Sussex. You will have the opportunity to market to, and meet face-to-face, thousands of people from a wide and diverse community. We are planning an extensive marketing and promotion campaign in the runup to the event to ensure maximum exposure and awareness of the event. This will be targeted at the community across Croydon itself and the wider London area and surrounding counties, as well as LGBTQ+ groups around the country. Our campaign will include: 20,000 flyers distributed in shops in the town centre and local homes, featuring sponsor s logos JCDecaux posters around Croydon town centre in the weeks running up to the event, featuring sponsor s logos Posters in business windows in the town centre, featuring sponsors logos A page on the Croydon Pride website, naming sponsors and linking to their websites An event programme, distributed to everyone who attends on the day around 5,000 people - featuring pages on sponsors and adverts Press campaigns before and after the day in local, London, and national media, mentioning sponsors Social media campaigns on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram The event allows for sponsor involvement on a number of levels, all bringing opportunities for mutual benefit. A contribution of any size, be it sponsorship, donations, or the purchase of advertising space in our event programme, would be greatly appreciated. 8 There is also, of course, an option for small businesses in the local community, wishing to make a contribution to this event. For 250, you will be listed as a Community Small Business Supporter on both a page on the event website and in the programme. We will provide you with a Croydon PrideFest Supporter logo to use in your marketing materials as you like, as well as a window sticker for your business. There are also a number of commercial opportunities available, each costing 3,000 in sponsorship. Below are the details of how to become a partner of PrideFest: Mini Cabs You will be advertised as the official taxi provider for the event, and be provided with a taxi rank for your sole use on the day. On top of this you will be given all the benefits of a Bronze sponsorship package. Hotel You will be advertised as our official partner hotel, particularly in press and social media campaigns targeting those travelling from outside of Croydon. On top of this, you will be given all the benefits of a Bronze sponsorship package. Bar A bar on the day will be named after you, and if you provide your brand of beer, spirit or alcoholic beverage free of charge, it will be the only one sold in that bar. On top of this, you will be given all the benefits of a Bronze sponsorship package. After-Party Your event will be promoted as the official after-party. On top of this, you will be given all the benefits of a Bronze sponsorship package. Dance Tent 8 The dance tent on the day will be named after your company.
