3 THE POWER OF EVENT MARKETING When you become a part of the UCF team, you join a growing number of successful companies who recognize the power of at-event sports marketing. Purchase intent a customer s stated interest in buying a product rose 52% among consumers who attended brand-sponsored events including sports championships. Such purchase intent translated directly to sales about 50% of the time, according to the Advertising Research Foundation in New York. Visual association with international sports events brings a sponsoring company high visibility and brand exposure.
