2 59 PA N A M A Innovation being ISSA s watch-word, 2014 will see our ever popular annual event being re-branded as the ISSA Congress and staged the day after the 4th ISSA Assembly in Panama. More and more we hear that Members like to be visited by ISSA in their home region and with Panama straddling the North and South American continents and with Central America on the door-step we feel the location is perfect for our event. For 2014 we are focusing on the main subject that concerns members: money! How to check out potential customers and see if they are an acceptable credit risk. How to collect overdue amounts and the need for speed when it comes to managing your sales ledger. Legal and financial experts from the Region will join our own team to deliver a valuable Masterclass on this vital subject. In addition, Members who may not have had the chance to interact with ISSA s top management will be warmly welcomed to the Members Open Forum. We want to hear from you - what you like and what you don t like about your Association. We are ever receptive to new ideas and encourage every ISSA Member to make a contribution to the debate. 59 We will not be staging a Trade Exhibition this year. That will next be held in Singapore in However the networking opportunities will still be present as well as the usual enjoyable social events that all contribute to the ISSA Family Atmosphere for enjoyment by old and new Members alike. Hasta la vista! 4th Annual ISSA Assembly ISSA s Governing Body the ISSA Assembly will meet on Friday 30th May at the Hotel Riu Plaza, Panama. Separate information and meeting documents will be forwarded to ISSA Assembly Members on the appropriate dates prior to the Meeting. We hope to see as many of the 44 ISSA Assembly Members as possible in Panama and if you are unable to attend don t forget you can always pass your Proxy to another Assembly Member (provided you are not disenfranchised under the Articles of Association of course!). The all-day ISSA Assembly will have a very full Agenda but with plenty of opportunity for debate and decision-making.
