6 DAY AT THE CAPITOL Southeast Minnesota is thinking and acting more regionally as we FEBRUARY 2018 One Event grow together, so Rochester on Tour has given way to SE MN Day at the Capitol! Working with our neighbor Chambers, Southeast Minnesota will make its presence known at the Capitol in St. Paul. We ll be bringing a regional agenda to focus the legislature on our unique economic issues. The day will include a full schedule of legislative meetings, breakout sessions and a keynote luncheon. We finish the day with a reception featuring food and beverage from across the region and informative exhibits. This event is designed to keep Southeast Minnesota in the forefront of the minds of Minnesota Legislators. 9 COMMUNITY MATTERS SERIES This series focuses on issues that matter to businesses at the local JANUARY - DECEMBER 2018 Four Events level, including development, education, transportation, workforce and legislative agendas. The programs feature expert speakers and panels of government representatives from the City of Rochester and Olmsted County. Attendees enjoy lunch or light dinner, refreshments, and the opportunity to interact with their local representatives. The audience for these events tends to be business and community leaders. 11 SE MINNESOTA ECONOMIC SUMMIT Southeast Minnesota is on a growth trajectory, not in just the SEPTEMBER 2018 One Event medical sector, but in all sectors of the economy. Working with area Chamber partners, the Chamber will bring together regional leaders to examine the SE Minnesota economy. This event will have a regional audience and focus on critical industries and economic sectors. This public event is expected to draw an audience of more than 500 SE Minnesota business and government leaders. 13 AM ESPRESSO AM Espresso is a morning networking program hosted monthly 1ST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH Twelve Events at a Chamber member s business. Participants enjoy coffee, continental breakfast, networking, and prizes. Well over 100 people attend this very popular monthly event, and attendance continues to grow. 14 BUSINESS AFTER HOURS Business After Hours is one of the Chamber s longest running 3RD THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH* Twelve Events and most successful networking events. This monthly event offers hundreds of our members a chance to network and develop new business contacts, while experiencing unique atmospheres offered by different monthly hosts. Approximately 200 people attend this very popular monthly event. This tends to be a different crowd from the AM Espresso, making it a separate market to reach. Business After Hours attendees are actively seeking opportunities to network and build business relationships. *In June, July and August BAH is shifted to Wednesdays and the date may be adjusted to avoid conflict with the Annual Golf Outing. 15 NEW MEMBER LUNCHEON This welcome luncheon is for new members and new staff of existing 2018 Six Events Chamber members. Information on Chamber committees, events, and programs are discussed to help new and existing members learn about the Chamber and how their involvement can benefit their business. New Member Luncheons are held six times per year. Your opportunity is to reach out to these developing business owners and management, initiate a rapport and be part of their growth. 25 LEADERSHIP GREATER ROCHESTER Leadership Greater Rochester is a comprehensive ten-month AUGUST MAY 2019 Multiple Events leadership development program provided by the Rochester Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The program s mission is to develop leaders through participation in personal, professional and community development activities designed to encourage individual responsibility for taking an active leadership role in the future vitality of the greater Rochester area. The program includes a two-day retreat and nine full-day sessions. Up to 34 leaders are selected to participate through a competitive application process facilitated by an alumni-led interview committee.
