Set for its traditional Columbus Day Weekend, October 7-9, the quarter- of-a-century old festival now boasts 150 plus scarecrows standing proudly around the perimeter of Lincoln Park, located in the heart of riverfront St. Charles, Illinois and attendance could well top 100,000. The event has also been named one of the Top 100 events by the American Business Association in 2007, 2009, and The festival s policy of not permitting any on-site alcohol sales encourages patronage of St. Charles existing pubs and restaurants and promotes a family fun experience. The commitment to maintaining the event s family-oriented atmosphere, the determination to enhance each festival by planning new events as well as traditional ones, the affection for the festival and its ability to draw crowds for the sponsors and vendors who support the event, make the one of the best events not only in the Chicagoland area, but the entire State of Illinois.
