12 PUBLIC NOTICES COALHURST BYLAW ENFORCEMENT As of January 1, 2019 Coaldale and District Municipal Enforcement will not be providing bylaw enforcement services to the Town of Coalhurst. The Town of Coalhurst is in the process of establishing a new service. In the interim, residents are asked to contact the Town Office at with any bylaw related issues. Please watch for further details of the new service shortly. Thank you for your cooperation. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SURVEY Please take a moment to fill out the Town of Coalhurst s Public Transportation Survey. Your feedback is very important to Council and Staff as we assess the transportation needs of the residents living in Coalhurst. Hard copies of the survey can be picked up at the Town office ( st Street) or available at or If you have any questions or comments, please contact Deb at LICENSE RENEWALS The Town of Coalhurst Business License and Dog License renewal invoices were mailed out the beginning of January licenses are due and payable upon receipt. If you have not received your 2019 invoice, please contact the Town Office at Fines may be handed out for noncompliance. If you no longer require your license, please make sure to notify the Town Office so our files can be updated accordingly WATER/SEWER/WASTE MANAGEMENT/STORM SEWER RATES The Council of the Town of Coalhurst review the water, sewer, waste management, and storm sewer rates annually and set them accordingly to reflect the cost of providing these services. For 2019, Council has approved no increase to the water, sewer, storm sewer and waste management rates. The cubic meters allowed per month for water will remain at 20 cubic meters. Council has implemented a new recycling fee of $2.20/month. This will help offset some costs of the Town recycle trailer and may be reviewed as alternate recycling options are considered in the future. These new rates will be effective February 1, Monthly residential water/sewer/waste management/storm sewer rates for Town of Coalhurst residential customers effective February 1st, 2019 will be: Basic water rate - $39.75 for the first 20.0 cubic meters or portion thereof - plus $1.75 for each additional 1.0 cubic meter used over 20.0 cubic meters Flat sewer rate - $37.30 Flat garbage rate - $18.90 Senior's flat garbage rate - $9.45 Storm sewer rate - $5.50 Recycle fee - $2.20 Monthly commercial water/sewer/waste management/storm sewer rates for Town of Coalhurst customers effective February 1 st, 2019 will be: Basic water rate - $50.40 for the first 20.0 cubic meters or portion thereof - plus $1.75 for each additional 1.0 cubic meter used over 20.0 cubic meters.
