1 2017 Summer Concert Series Sponsorship Opportunities What is the Friends of Patterson Park Concert Series? Since 2002, the Friends of Patterson Park has hosted a free summer concert series in beautiful Patterson Park. Under the historic Pagoda on Hampstead Hill one of Baltimore s most beloved and photographed landmarks our concerts bring thousands of families, young professionals, retirees, dog owners and music lovers together to picnic, dance, and enjoy the diverse bands we bring to the park. From 10-piece soul bands to Latin dance, Afrofunk to rock and roll, the concerts attract thousands of people from neighborhoods around the park Canton, Butchers Hill, Fells Point and across the city. The vibe is festive, creative, and always FUN. Patterson Park Patterson Park is one of Baltimore s largest historic parks, originally founded with William Patterson s gift of six acres to Baltimore City in Today it covers an expansive 155 acres in Southeast Baltimore. Historic monuments, Boat Lake, tennis courts, playing fields, dog park, recreation center, playgrounds, bike paths, pool, senior center, ice rink, Audubon center, sports leagues all contribute to make Patterson Park the most well-used and well-loved park in Baltimore City. The Summer Concert Series continues a long-standing (nearly a century!) tradition of free music in the park. Patterson Park & the regularly receive awards, honors and press: Reader s Choice for BEST PARK, Baltimore Magazine, 2014 and Named Frontline Park by City Parks Alliance, received Maryland Historical Trust MD Preservation Award for Organizational Leadership. Multiple features in the Baltimore Sun, most recently for the restoration of the park s historic cannons. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) founded in 1998 to ensure the historic Patterson Park s vitality as a treasured green space and to encourage use and appreciation by our diverse local community, visitors and future generations, thereby contributing to the health of the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses. Our membership consists of more than 750 individual, corporate and foundation donors. 2 Summer Concert Demographics: Your sponsorship of this series will give your business exposure to the whole of Southeast Baltimore through our concert promotions. Though we host individuals from across the city and into the counties, our target audience lies in the 53,000+ residents in the 10 neighborhoods surrounding Patterson Park (Canton, Brewers Hill, Butchers Hill, Upper Fells Point, Fells Point, Highlandtown, CARE, Patterson Park Neighborhood, Baltimore Highlands and McElderry Park). Media Exposure: These neighborhoods contain (according to recent census data): the highest concentration of 30-year olds in Baltimore City; a high density of young families; a high concentration of households with dogs (Patterson Park contains one of SE Baltimore s two dog parks); the highest concentration of Latinos in Baltimore City; the highest immigrant population in Baltimore City; Canton and Butchers Hill have median incomes from $77,000 - $88,000 some of the highest in the city. All concerts take place 6:30 8:30 p.m. On Pagoda Hill WYPR Media Package: WYPR at 88.1 F.M., Maryland s NPR news station The Summer Concert Series is advertised on WYPR s website, via their newsletter (18,000 distribution list), and announced on air to their listeners frequently every day during the concert season. WYPR reaches over 200,000 listeners per week in Maryland and in parts of Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. WYPR s loyal listeners spend, on average, over 7 hours per week with their radio tuned to WYPR s demographic profile is available upon request, but in summary, WYPR listeners are typically highly educated (63 percent attained bachelors degrees or higher), have mid to high income levels (20.8 percent $50K - $74K; 60 percent $75K+) and own their own homes (80 percent).

3 Sponsorship Levels $1,500 Supporting Sponsor 29 x 29 sponsor banner displayed on the side of the stage at each concert. Sponsor s name announced during concert introduction and closing. Sponsor logo on 10,000 printed concert series postcards. Sponsor s logo and link on FPP website for one year. All concert sponsors will also be recognized as Pagoda Sponsors for the duration of the Pagoda season. They will be recognized with their logo on signage that will stay in front of the Pagoda and visible to our thousands of Pagoda visitors. In 2016 more than 10,000 people visited the Pagoda! Sponsor s name in FPP e-newsletters during summer concert series weeks June Aug (5,600 addresses and growing), as well as mentions on our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Sponsor will be provided a six-foot table at each concert for sponsor materials and staff. Two Moonlight Pagoda tickets An exclusive FPP donor appreciation event under the moon at the Pagoda. Invitation to our Corporate Friends Reception an annual networking event hosted by the Friends, local business leaders, and elected officials. Invitation to corporate sponsor happy hour prior to first concert of the season. $10,000 Title Sponsor (One Available) Benefits include all of the above, and: LARGE 6 8 foot banner (TBD) prominently displayed at each concert. Prominently placed tent and six-foot table for Title Sponsor s staff and materials (if desired). Use of camp chairs for concert viewing. Your company name mentioned as Title Sponsor with the in all concert promotions (media package is valued at $20,000): WYPR radio, print and online announcements of YOUR COMPANY NAME as Title Sponsor of the concert series. Your company name, logo and feature story featured on our website and social media sites (Facebook boosted posts, Twitter and Instagram), and in our e-newsletter (distribution 5,600). Your name as Title Sponsor on 10,000 printed concert series posters. Ten tickets to our exclusive donor appreciation event under the stars, Moonlight Pagoda, to share with your employees and clients. Invitation to our Corporate Friends Reception an annual networking event hosted by the Friends, local business leaders, and elected officials. Invitation to corporate sponsor happy hour prior to first concert of the season. Custom sponsorship packages are available. 7 Vendor Village New for 2017! Vendor Village Participate as a food, arts/crafts, jewelry or local services vendor at any or all of our concerts. Village will be set up at the top of Pagoda Hill under the trees north of the cannons. There will be a limited number of vending spots available, so be sure to inquire early. Vending fee per concert: Sundays: Food vendors $80; Services/craft vendors $40. Tuesdays: All vendors $40 Includes name announced on website and social media prior to concert. Notes: Must provide own tent/canopy (if desired; no bigger than 12 x 12 ), table, tablecloth and signage. We can provide chairs (if necessary). No on-site electricity is available. Food vendors are required to obtain required health department permits. Permit to drive in the park will be provided. Vendors should be set up with cars removed from concert area no later than 30 minutes prior to concert start. Cars may not be brought to table location until 20 minutes after concert end. We ask that everyone be extremely cautious to pedestrian traffic. Pedestrians have right of way on all roads/ walkways in the park. Payment for vending spot due prior to concert.
