2 Dear Future Sponsor, The volunteers of the Broward County Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) in conjunction with the Fire Chiefs Association of Broward County and the City of Coral Springs will be hosting the 8 th Annual Florida Family Safety Fest on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 8:00am to 3:00 pm at the Sportsplex in Coral Springs. This is a benefit to raise money for the CERT programs in Broward County. The 8 th Annual Florida Family Safety Fest will have something for the entire family. We will start with a pancake breakfast from 8:00 until 10:00 am. Then from 10:00 until 3:00 pm we will have children s activities, bounce houses, games, live entertainment, food vendors, fire department demonstrations, police K-9 demonstrations, fire engines and rescues, police cars and tactical equipment, other agency exhibits, and much, much more. The 8 th Annual Florida Family Safety Fest is expected to draw thousands of attendees from all over South Florida. This regional event got its start in 2010 as the Margate Fire Prevention Family Fun Day. The event has since outgrown its original home at Firefighters Park in Margate, and became so successful, that in 2016 it was moved to Coral Springs SportsPlex and rebranded as the Florida Family Safety Fest. We are offering your organization the opportunity to share in one of the most comprehensive exhibition and advertising exposure platforms in the local area market. Your tax-deductible donation as a sponsor will give you the opportunity to reach thousands of your neighbors, and support the CERT programs in Broward County. We count on the support of our community, neighbors, and sponsors like you, not only to help us with this event, but to allow us to continue providing services to the community throughout the year. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) programs provide free training in disaster preparedness to volunteer members of communities throughout the country. Team members work closely with their sponsoring agencies, usually a fire or police department, to advance their training and to learn new skills. When called upon, teams provide large-scale emergency and disaster response, first aid and safety at public service events, missing person searches, firefighter rehab at fire scenes, along with many other support functions as requested by the local agencies.
