2 All India Federation of Master Printers () is the only apex body of printers in India announces nation's most coveted printing award - 'The National Award for Excellence in Printing'. A one-of-its-kind award that is an eloquent testimonial to companies and individuals who have enriched the Indian printing industry with their contributions. Its mission is to be India s pre-eminent organization in developing co-operation among national, regional and global print specialists in all matters of mutual interest, to provide globally relevant state-of-the-art print technology education and expertise, to develop business leaders, technocrats and entrepreneurs committed to improving the quality of human life through printing, to create truly world class print material and to encourage and recognise excellence in printing, to articulate the concerns of the printing industry at National and International fora and to work towards improvement of conditions in the Indian Printing Industry. All India Federation of Master Printers conducted first ever ceremony in1999 at New Delhi. Since then this award has taken precedence in promoting young and upcoming printers, paving way to reach greater heights. To highlights it s prestige this is the only award from the print industry that has received official recognition from Indian Government. In due course, reflecting the importance of such an encouraging award, the number of participants, from the entire spectrum of print industry vying for this award, has increased exponentially. While creating a platform for innovators to demonstrate their expertise in aesthetics or any other latest technology, it plays a major role in inspiring others to work towards development of raw ideas. Madurai District Offset Printers Association, or in short MADOPA, established in 2011, is proud to host the 13th Edition of Awards in Madurai. MADOPA has conducted various workshops, seminars, conferences and roadshows, connecting professionals and subject matter experts from the printing field, in an effort to realise it s ambition of knowledge sharing and transfer. On top of celebrating Printers Day by conducting workshops to showcase the latest technologies, MADOPA also plays an active role in helping the needy by organising charitable events. Madurai, also known as temple city of Tamil Nadu, is a hustling and bustling city situated on the banks of Vaigai River. The crown jewel, Meenakshi Amman temple, adorns the skyline with its 14 gigantic beautiful towers. This ancient city has been a major settlement for two millennia and is famous for its rich heritage and promoting Tamil Language through Sangams. Madurai, derservedly, has been mentioned in ancient texts of Greeks, Roman and Arabs. Present day Madurai is well connected by all means of transports with domestic and international airport. The Theme for the thirteenth edition of award is ICONIC. As the theme suggests, aims to bring out the best of individuals. Be it in graphic arts, imaging or conventional print sector, a stand out entry in its own class is a sure clincher. Combining innovative ideas with practical relavance is another aspect that is imperative to winning this award. What makes this award so prestigious is its careful attention to excellence and innovation. So, whether it is a packaging major with ace quality exhibits or a humble printer with out-of-the-box printing ideas, both have an equal chance to win. For those who hove earned their client's respect with world class quality, it's now time to win the industry's hard-fought recognition.
