This exciting event, hosting more than 2,500 participants, will deeply impact the Tri-state area, and beyond, as participants honor or remember loved ones and feel a sense of community with those who have experienced this forgotten cancer. We are offering you the unique opportunity to partner with MIF to spotlight your dedication to making a difference in the health of your community. We need your support because the incidence of melanoma is rising faster than any other cancer, becoming the number one cancer killer among young women. One person dies each hour from the disease. Early detection provides the best cure, since melanoma spotted early by skin examination has a 90% cure rate. Late stage disease has few treatment modalities. What: Along with a 2 mile walk and 5K run, the event will include a family fun health and wellness expo, live music and free skin cancer screenings for all participants, sponsors and their families.
