3 STAATSKOERANT, 11 APRIL 2014 No GENERAL NOTICE NOTICE 289 OF 2014 Independent Communications Authority of South Africa Pinmill Farm, 164 Katherine Street, Sandton Private Bag X10002, Sandton, 2146 INDEPENDENT CO ICATIONS AUTHOR OF SOUTH AFRICA (ICASA) GENERAL NOTICE LICENSEES WHO HAVE FAILED TO RESPOND TO REQUESTS FOR COMPLIANCE INFORMATION The Independent Authority Communications Authority of South Africa ("the Authority") hereby gives notice in terms of section 4(3)(b) and (g) of ICASA Act No. 13 of 2000 ("the Act") as amended. From September 2012 to July 2013, the Authority requested compliance information via formal letters to all licensees on the Authority's database. Information requested was: annual financial statements, formal letters stating that licensees are not in operation; letters requesting the Authority to approve the extension for commencement of operation and any other compliance information which the Authority may require from time to time. The licensees as listed in ANNEXURE A List A did not respond to the Authority as requested. All licensees as listed in ANNEXURE A List A must provide the Authority with compliance information listed above and provide updated contact details. Licensees that are not operational must state same and request for extension of commencement of operation within 30 (thirty) working days of publication of this notice, failing which they will be referred to the Complaints and Compliance Committee (CCC). 4. According to Company and Intellectual Property Commission, licensees as listed in ANNEXURE A List D are either deregistered or in a final process of

All licensees as listed in ANNEXURE A List D must provide the Authority with the status of their respective companies (i.e. with regard to operational status of their licence) within 30 (thirty) working days of publication of this notice. 5. The entities / companies as listed in ANNEXURE A List F did not complete the conversion process which was undertaken by the Authority in Note that not having completed the conversion process, the entity / company does not have a valid licence. All entities / companies as listed in ANNEXURE A List F must contact the Authority within 30 (thirty) working days of publication of this notice. 6. Licensees listed in ANNEXURE A List C and E have been liquidated and the licence holders are deceased respectively. The Authority hereby gives notice intending to revoke the licences. Interested parties must contact the Authority within 30 (thirty) working days of publication of this notice.
