Facebook is our second largest platform after our website. That community has a close balance, with 54% of fans being male and the other 45% being females. For Profoto, we created a series of videos (with accompanying articles) in which we promoted their B1 and B2 flash units. In the video highlighted below, we demonstrated how to recreate golden hour with the B1 flashes. 14 AFFILIATE PARTNERSHIPS (CASE STUDY) The affiliate (revenue sharing) model is another way we work with partners. As with our educational video partners, we only work with affiliate partners with products that we already use or would use in our actual studio. Below is a case study with Photomatix, a company that specailizes in HDR software. While in partnership with Photomatix, we sold over 300 licenses in 2014 and 2015 of their software. This equalled to roughly $30,000 of revenue for their company. Our primary means of promotion that led to these results included: ARTICLES ON SLR LOUNGE We provided links to Photomatix product pages in any applicable educational articles on our website. YOUTUBE VIDEOS We mentioned the software in any of our HDR tutorials on YouTube. NEWSLETTER We provided ad spaces in our weekly newsletter that has an audience of over 70,000 subscribers.
