4 PRINT AD SPECS Towing & Equipment Magazines are black & white newsprint style publications with upgrade options to add spot color (Red PMS 032) to select ad positions. Additional spot and full color upgrade options are available, inquire for details. FREE AD CREATION Our design department can create an ad for you, however we will need the following to get started with your layout: COMPANY LOGO: Please supply the highest quality logo you have available, vector format preferred (AI, PDF, EPS). NOTE: We need the art files used for business cards or signage if possible, not or web logos. HEADER/FOOTER INFO: Include any text/art you would like in header/footer area (phone, address, website, tag line, social media, etc.). If you would like to feature any manufacturer logos (Jerr-Dan, Miller, Century, etc.) let us know, we have most major brand logos on file. IMAGES: Please supply the highest quality color photos of products available. TEXT DESCRIPTIONS: Include text descriptions for each product (be sure to reference what image goes with what text). To avoid excessive abbreviation & small text, please limit your descriptions to 250 characters or less (with spaces). 5 PRINT DEADLINES Towing & Equipment Magazines are published 12 times a year and we begin print production approximately 30 days in advance of each issue date. Ad copy and material due dates typically fall around the 1st of each month. Cooperation in submitting artwork and copy changes in a timely manner is always greatly appreciated. Once ad copy is received, our goal is to return a digital proof for your review within 1-2 business days (note: turnaround times may vary depending on peak submission times). We ask that you approve or advise of changes within 24 hours of when your proof is received. Of course we are always just a phone call or away to help guide through any struggles or simply to celebrate your success. CONSISTENCY Print advertising works best with patience. Often it takes time for people to get to know you, to develop trust and a desire to learn more about your company before they will choose to do business with you. By being a constant presence you are building your brand awareness which will pay off with time. Give your ad at least 6 months of exposure to start reaping the benefits. The more you put yourself out there the more likely you will be the one that comes to mind when they are ready to make that next purchase. MAKE AN IMPACT Let buyers know that you are an industry leader by putting your company on display with a large ad or with multiple ads highlighting different products or services. Command their attention with larger pictures and text. Give yourself plenty of room to showcase all the many reasons why you are the best choice when it s time to make purchases. 9 ADVERTISING TIPS Here are some basic guidelines to make sure your customers are getting the best possible impression from your ad. QUALITY PHOTOS Avoid photographing your truck or equipment in places with distracting backgrounds. Pick a spot free of clutter, signs, wires, etc. The best times to take photos are early morning or later afternoon/early evening to avoid harsh midday shadows. Presentation is key - be sure vehicle is clean, free of old company info (we can help photoshop it out if needed) and try to find an angle that shows it off the best. Unless you are selling a specific piece of equipment on or off a truck, avoid cropping in too close. Leave some space around your truck or equipment when photographing to allow for more options when its time for ad creation. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION We encourage detailed descriptions of vehicle/equipment main features, however to avoid excessive abbreviation and/or small text sizes, please limit to 250 characters inlcuding spaces. Don t forget to inlcude a price whenever possible. Listings with prices are the first to get noticed, listings without prices tend to be last on the list for consideration, if they aren t skipped over all together. Regardless of if your prices are the lowest or not, including a price will still help get more inquiries than if you omit it.
