2 The future of food production With the continued support of government, industry and science across the world, GFIA in Abu Dhabi is one of the largest and best attended agriculture events in the Middle East, and the only event in the world dedicated to sustainable agtech across all types of food production Three major achievements GFIA is the largest showcase of sustainable agricultural innovations in the world GFIA attracts decision makers from 100+ countries right across the food value chain GFIA has doubled attendance since it s launch in 2014

3 2018 snapshot The exhibition. 234 exhibitors showcased hundreds of working products to help farmers and food producers improve productivity and profits. Main conference. Hosting 102 speakers, thousands of visitors enjoyed a mix of keynote addresses, panel debates, innovation presentations and Q&A sessions. Innovations Theatre. 41 innovators took to the stage to explain why their innovation is shaping the future of farming around the world. Floorplan zones. The exhibition was split into 6 themed zones to help visitors find products: crops; indoor farming; aquaculture; date palm production; apiculture; livestock. Innovation Awards. Recognising outstanding innovations from established and start-up companies. ApiArab Expo. The region s first exhibition and conference dedicated to smart honey production. Hosted Farmers Programme. 68 buyers from some of the largest farms in the region were fully hosted for two days of meetings with exhibitors. Hosted Scientist Programme. This programme hosted 93 scientists from around the world to collaborate with a broad cross-section of participants.

10 About our exhibitors Hundreds of suppliers of sustainable agriculture innovations from around the world gathered in Abu Dhabi to demonstrate how their solutions and technologies can increase productivity, whilst saving natural resources and protecting the environment.
