UNEP Environmental Programme UNEP Rome Countries: South-East Asia Period: 2010 Services: Development of a full multi-year $5 million UNEP proposal for the development of highland-lowland partnerships for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction for communities and biodiversity in the Himalayas, Hindu Kush, Karakorum and Pamirs (Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kygyzstan). Baseline/feasibility study as a precondition to establish a Water Fund in the Jordanian tourism sector (GTZ) German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) Period: September 2010 May 2011 Services: Tasks included: (i) research for the feasibility, (ii) stakeholder consultations, (iii) development of the PPP modalities, (iv) development of capitalisation strategies for the Fund. 6 Services: The project aims to support efforts to halt land degradation and improve the ameliorative condition of land, ensure sustainable development of agriculture on irrigated lands, and improve effective use of water and land resources. Assessment of Water Use Efficiency in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Ministry of Water and Irrigation Jordan Period: October 2009 April 2010 Services: The work included managing a team of three researchers, consulting stakeholders and integrating large amounts of data into a concise study report. This 6-month study, in cooperation with CEC Sajdi & Partners, endeavoured to provide added value to key water resource management Issues for Jordan. Main foci were transboundary water management Institutional reform, water governance, water valuation and agricultural water use. Engaging civil society in water management in the southern and eastern Mediterranean region. Wetlands International/CIDA Countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Turkey Period: September December / 2008 Services: Tasks included lobbying for support for the interventions and clarifying linkages and relevance of concepts contained in the EU Water Framework Directive and EU conventions in the Mediterranean region. Review mission for the EC-Indian State Partnership Programme for Rajasthan EC India Period: November 2007 December 2007 Services: Coordination of inputs of three consultants; Liaison with the clients; Inputs on water resources and water supply management; Inputs on rural development; Reporting; Facilitation of workshop. Design, facilitation and management of a workshop for directors of the Near and Middle East Division of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) on a review of their rural water strategy. International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Italy Period: May August 2006 Services: Provision of a project manager. Core issues included water demand management, use of treated wastewater in agriculture, use of brackish (ground) water for irrigation and linkages to rural development.

Project Financing Seminar for Investments in Alternative Energy S&K Global Invest Countries: Pakistan Period: November 2004 March 2005 Services: On behalf of S&K Global Invest a project financing seminar for environmental infrastructure (including hydropower and wind power) was organised at the Islamabad Serena Hotel.
