20 The total weigh gain of 10 cattle in the 4-month experiment is above 583 kg Develop Biogas tank for livestock waste handling to produce methane, using alternative cooking fuel benefit to farmers.. Economy Environ ment Minimize environmental pollution thank to limited ecological discharge of animal waste into the environment and indiscriminate burning straw. CH4 emission reductions... cost saving, antipollution, environmental protection. farmers learning, active, keen for mass replication in the commune and neighboring communes. Reserve straw, silage for feeding cattle, buying dried cassava to feed supplements for cattle. potential replicati on Society Technology transfer in the model: Farmers armed with modern farming techniques to reduce livestock GHG emissions Contributing to overcoming extreme events caused by climate change.

21 IV. Conclusions and Recommendations 1) 2643 households have been applying the AWD method and suitable fertilizing will reduce the GHG emissions in rice production. 2) Model of cattle production aiming at reducing GHG emissions showed efficiency through reducing emissions while maintaining and promoting economic efficiency in livestock. 924 farms have been applying with support from Gov fund. 3) The model has opened the way to using local feed resources and utilizing waste. 4) TAURUS software useful for animal feed and low emission in cattle husbandry. It will be expand to all provinces in Vietnam 5) The model has taken the simple technique, easy to apply, help farmers receive fast and capable of replication. This is the premise for livestock, economic, social and environmental development locally The Vietnam extension program should have policy and guidance on technical and economic norms for livestock production aiming at GHG emission reduction program to become a regular extension activities 21 FAS
