He has been engaged in teaching and research at the University of Nairobi since April 2002, as an Assistant Lecturer, in the fields of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has also engaged in consultancy work in the fields of Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit, Water Resources Management & Irrigation systems design. Mr Ondieki is also a registered Lead Expert in Environmental Impact Assessment (EAI) and Environmental Audit (EA), with National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA).
