Petrochemical Plant News:- Nihon Oxirane Co intends to stop Production of Styrene Monomer (SM) and Propylene Oxide (PO) on 9 May. The Facility is located at Chiba, Japan. The Fire at Dragon Aromatics Chemical Plant has been finally put out after 2 days of blast. Hyundai Cosmo Petrochemical (HCP) intends to close down operation at its No.1 PX Plant in April end 2015 for around 30 days at Daesan, South Korea with production capacity of 1.18 MMT/Year. Sasol has shut its Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Plant for an unplanned maintenance. The Plant is located in Sasolburg, South Africa.

2 Miscellaneous News:- Petkim in Turkey increased its PVC Prices by US$ 15/Ton w.e.f. today. Saudi Arabia Company Bahri and South Korea S-oil Corp will be shipping Crude Oil Cargoes from third quarter of Egypt has increased Prices of Polypropylene (PP) by US$ 100/Ton. BP Chembel NV has given contract to Jacobs Engineering Group for the Revamp of its Petrochemical Plant in Geel, Belguim with production capacity of 1.3 MMT/Year of PTA, 700,000 Ton/Year of PX. Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Corp (ZRCC) is running its Monoethylene Glycol Plant (MEG) at 75% at Zhenhai, China with production capacity of 650,000 MT/Year. The construction of 12 Petrochemical Plants is expected to be completed by March 19, 2016.The Projects include phase2 of kavian Petrochemical Plant, Petrochemical Plant in Lorestan, Kurdistan, Mahabad, Marvdasht, Takht E jamshid, Polystyrene Complex, Morvarid Petrochemical Plants. It will raise the production capacity to 2 MMT/Year. China s Heilongjiang Anruijia Petrochemical intends to restart its Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE) Unit in October. The Unit has production capacity of 300,000 Ton/year.
