Central and regional advisory services also play a role of the innovation brokers. 4

5 National Network for Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas (SIR) Tasks of SIR: Open forum for all actors interested in innovation, Animation of potential partners for EIP groups, Networking in order to connect partners, meetings, workshops, moderation of thematic discussions on the internet (thematic webpage, forum, data bases), Creation and moderation of the thematic working groups based on request of the future participants (bottom-up), Co-ordination of innovation brokers. 5

7 Tasks of the National Center (AAC) for Innovation in Agriculture Identification and cooperation with national and international partners; Coordination of the cooperation and providing access to the activities of the EIP Network for all partners. Promoting innovation in agriculture, food production and forestry; Identification of needs submitted by co-participants of the National Network for Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas; Providing networking activities for advisors and entities supporting the implementation of innovation in rural areas (SIR); Registry of efficiently executed and useful research, advisory, implementation projects, collecting examples of projects related to all program's priorities for rural development; Development and publication of recommendations on good practice, project ideas, research, needs, etc., dissemination of the information on the EIP website and during related events (seminars, workshops, conferences); 7

8 Tasks of the National Center(AAC) for Innovation in Agriculture Facilitating the exchange of knowledge between the stakeholders involved in the network and the exchange and dissemination of results; Facilitating the networking of SIR partners by carrying out activation, the appointment and organization of the work of the thematic groups and the management of portal and online tools to exchange information and facilitate discussions between Network partners; Development and implementation of the SIR action plan for and two-year operational plans in cooperation with network partners and regional entities; Creating and maintaining IT platform;

9 Focus Groups Focus Groups shall consist of the coordinators - Agricultural Advisory Center's professional staff and the research and development representatives, pursuant to the thematic area, advisors and representatives of business organizations, max. 20 people. Tasks of the Focus Groups: Identify the activity areas within the group; Identification of strategic priorities and key areas of the National Innovation Partnership at the national level; Preparation of proposal activities for the Working Group on National Rural Network. Thematic areas (beginning): Crop production (including integrated pest management - IPM); Animal production (including animal welfare); Organic farming; Environment protection; Agribusiness (including small processing). 10 Regional level Regional Agricultural Advisory Centers (16 ), Tasks : Identification of needs submitted by co-participants of regional SIR; Promoting innovation in agriculture, food and forestry Collecting information (research, innovative projects, new solutions); Exchange of information on innovative topics of seminars, workshops, training courses and conferences; Participation and sharing knowledge on specific, practical actions in the Focus Groups; Identification and cooperation with national partners; Providing information and promotion of the SIR at the regional level; Providing feedback on the science findings and the practical needs; Providing brokerage services of innovation Development and implementation of the SIR action plan for and two-year plans in terms of the tasks carried out at the regional level, in cooperation with SIR partners (National Rural Network) operating in the region; Advisors participation and cooperation with Operational Groups. 10
