15 Help mitigate risk in lodging-prone areas! The lodging management choice for high-yielding cereals Performance Under High Lodging Situation ( 30%) Palisade EC plant growth regulator helps mitigate lodging challenges caused by adverse weather or higher nitrogen levels. By shortening the internodes and strengthening the stem through inhibition of cell elongation, Palisade EC shortens plants, which leads to reduced lodging and improved standability. Because lodging can reduce yield by 10 to 40 percent, an application of Palisade EC helps protect your valuable crop investments. % Lodging Yield (bu/a) Better Standability Untreated Palisade EC Improved Yield Untreated Palisade EC Application rates: lb ai/a (equivalent to oz/a of Palisade EC). 33 Herbicide resistance management strategies Herbicide resistance has garnered much attention in recent years. Scouting fields and managing weed problems before they start is one of the best strategies growers can employ in this battle. In the long run, growers will save money through a proactive management program.

34 Herbicide Resistance: Best Management Practices Alternating herbicides with different modes of action and chemical classes is at the core in the fight against resistance. To be a successful Resistance Fighter, this practice must become standard every year across the farm. Apply herbicides at the full, labeled rate and at the correct growth stage for most effective control Clean your tillage, seeding and harvest equipment when leaving fields with herbicide-resistant weeds to keep from spreading resistant weeds to other fields. Incorporate other control tactics that fit your farm: Use sequential applications and/or tank mixtures of herbicides with different modes of action at full labeled rates Apply burndown herbicides Use a diverse crop/fallow rotation to extend the range of available herbicides and agronomic practices Cultivate in the fallow portion of the crop rotation Prevent weed escapes from producing seed Resistant common ragweed 2013 Syngenta. Important: Always read and follow label instructions. Some crop protection products may not be registered for sale or use in all states or counties.
