1 Departments of plant growing and plant protection Department of plant growing was founded in First head of department was O. Ahrimovych. Since October 1938 to September 1941 and from June 1944 to June 1969 the department was headed by professor V. Palchevskiy. In years the department temporarily heads rector of the Institute professor M. Palamar and assistant professor M. Klimenko. From November 1971 to December 1981 the department was headed by Professor Y. Shanskyi, from 1982 to 2011 it was headed by Honored Worker of Agriculture of Ukraine, the Excellence in Agricultural Education and Science, Associate Professor V. Tkachuk. From 2011 to 2014 the department work was headed candidate of agricultural Science, Associate Professor V. Hahula. Since February 1, 2014 through the merger the departments of plant growing and Plant Protection at the Faculty created a new structural unit the department of technology in crops growing and crops protection, which was led by candidate of agricultural Science, Associate Professor M. Grabowski. Today the department employs 17 lectors, and the Department is a unit of Research Institute of energy efficient technologies and agrotechnological and technical processes in crop production (Director V. Hahula ). The Department carried out seven research initiative subject of scientific research. The scientific work performed by the department in terms of academic research center BNAU in ten fields crops rotation. International cooperation carried out with the group of companies "Plus for progress in agriculture" and the University "CAH Vilentum" Dronten, the Netherlands, the project of precision agriculture in Ukraine. Together with the British Council Ukraine and Writtle college in the project «Higher Education Team» conducted improving the quality of education on agro biotechnology department.
