Project description : The North Area of Gorganrood & Gharesoo Rivers Drainage Studies, with ha. area in Golestan province under study with the following main purposes: To determine existing drainage conditions considering to present limitations of area, to determine the zones and to evaluated the causes of water logging and salinalkali soil based on field drainage studies and land reclamation and pilot farms Presenting general scheme of rehabilitation of existing drains, drainage development project, biodrainage and preparing primary maps, estimating approximate costs and introducing preferred alternative. Increasing crop yield by providing adequate drainage design and land reclamation Restoration of Pasture and developing culture of medical herbs with improving drainage conditions and reducing salinity and alkalinity of soil. Presenting carbon sequestration and desertification projects Presenting plan of salt accumulation ponds and ancillary processing facilities with power generation by using solar ponds. Project description : Construction of modern irrigation and drainage system to irrigate about ha * Implementation of irrigation system, the project consist of main canal, secondary and tertiary pipes, main and submain pumping stations and sprinkler and trickler irrigation systems. Main canal is about 52 km long, with trapezoidal and rectangular sections, cut and cover conduits, siphon, water regulator, turnout, side spillway, bridge and etc. Main canal capacity varies from 85 cms at beginning to 60 cms at km 52. Lengths of secondary and tertiary pipes are about 1100 km with 5 to 650 l/s capacities. Pipes up to 500 mm are polyethylene, and larger than 500 mm are GRP * To produce tons of agricultural and horticultural products in order to support selfreliance * Expansion of employment: by project implementation and conversion of pastures to irrigable lands and orchards, 2000 jobs will be created in this area * In these lands 1090 families of nomads are living, they will be settled and their income will be raised about 2.7 times and their health care and welfare will be improved * Activation of agricultural related industries like cotton gin, oilseed factory, textile mill, cannery and etc 6. Project description : The aim of this project is to construct industrial line of manufacturing bacillus thuringiensis (BT) products. BT products are the most widely used biopesticide product in the world. They are wellknown nonchemical control agents that are being used for control of agricultural pests in different agriculture/forest ecosystems. The main difference of BT product to other conventional pesticide is that BT products are safe to the environment & nontarget organisms.
