5 Following provides a list of publication s and seminar s coverage in press and media (individual articles see in the Annex N 3): FINANCIAL Georgian News Website (in Georgian); Georgian News (in Georgian); News Agency GHN (in Georgian); FINANCIAL Georgian News Website (in Georgian); Boom.Ge (in Georgian); Publishing House Navigator, Newspaper Georgian Products (in English); Newspaper VERSIA Interview with Secretary General, Konstantin Zaldastanishvili (in Georgian); Newspaper ARGUMENTI I FAKTI Positive feedback was received from: 1. Bakur Kvezereli Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Feedback Received I welcome every effort supporting organic production in Georgia and its export to the EU market. Obviously, Georgian entrepreneurs need relevant knowledge and experience in the field in order to successfully carry out this complex task. The EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) publication on the export of organic products will definitely be a useful guide for them (see Annex 1, press release of ). 2. Mariam Lebanidze, Councilor Department of International Economic, Cultural and Humanitarian Relations Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia m.lebanidze@mfa.gov.ge The seminar was interesting both for the representatives of Georgian business sector as well as for the employees of the public service. The seminar was very timely as the interest of Georgian business society was raised with respect to the import of hybrid corn seeds. The participants of the seminar were given a wonderful opportunity to hear experts views on this and organic farming related issues. In my view, such seminars, aimed at informing business society about the developments in the European Union, shall be organized more frequently. Besides, it would be important to invite representatives of related ministries: Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economic and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Environment Protection. The issue of sustainable development was - 5 -

6 raised many times during the seminar. Therefore, it would be interesting to hear the position of the Ministry with respect to the problems associated to green economic policy currently being implemented. Also, it is important to invite international organizations and development agencies, so that these institutions too share information regarding their projects with the business community (unofficial translation). 3. Natia Mgeladze Food Safety Specialist Georgia Food Safety Improvement Project IFC Advisory Services in Eastern Europe and Central Asia I am extremely contented with the seminar organized by EU-Georgia Business Council. I would appreciate to receive seminar related materials by mail. I remain hopeful that our cooperation will successfully continue in future (unofficial translation). 4. Nika Karalashvili Deputy Director Georgian Farmers House Nika_geo83@yahoo.com Our organization considers very important to participate in the seminars such as the one recently organized by EU-Georgia Business Council at German House. Today, organizations working on the issues of agriculture and farming associations have lack of qualified information, particularly with respect to the production of organic products. The theme of this seminar was appropriate especially after Russian embargo. Compared to the Russian market, European market has a number of requirements which are difficult to understand not only by farmers but by consulting groups too. Therefore, we consider that the information you provided with the publication and the seminar will definitely fill the gaps in the existing lack of knowledge and will allow farmers and others interested to conduct their business with the aim to access the EU market. The theme of the seminar was directly related to the strategy of Georgian Farmers House, which implies gradual shifting of existing farming to organic farming by the way of providing related technologies, agriculture inventory and information. I am happy to inform that we exchanged contacts with several organizations participating in the seminar with which we aim to cooperate. It will be our pleasure to participate in EUGBC organized events in future. Georgian Farmers House assesses the seminar very positively and wishes best of luck in your future activities (unofficial translation)
