6 1 2 3 Well thought-out down to the details CalfMom Alma is connected by a ring circuit to one or several feeding stations. This prevents the milk from cooling off in the suction lines and milk with the correct temperature is always available at the teat. One CalfMom can supply a maximum of four stations. When the parallel feeding extension is used, calves at all connected stations can drink simultaneously. At the push of a button, milk can be extracted quickly and easily from a milk removal tap for, e.g. calves in external boxes. The optional liquid dosing unit injects directly into the suction line. The Urban CalfMom is characterised by a very compact construction, is very flexible in use and simple to maintain. The high quality workmanship with stainless steel components is the basis for a long operating life - this is where Urban makes a difference. The CalfMom is frost-resistant: In addition, the waste heat of the boiler and the motors in the interior of the housing account for a microclimate that reliably prevents freezing. The CalfMom helps you monitor the health of the herd: A health evaluation is done each day for every animal. This includes the individual drinking speed, the visiting behaviour at the stations and the amount of feed eaten by the animal. Based on this evaluation, you can detect sick animals much earlier and respond immediately before the illness breaks out completely. Remaining milk quantity measurement and mixing bowl heater as standard 1 : The CalfMom measures the exact quantity of remaining milk which a calf did not drink. Conventional systems only measure a full or empty filling condition. In addition, the milk in the heated mixing bowl is maintained at a constant temperature level, whereas the systems of other manufacturers will serve cooled down milk to the next calf. The feeder and the suction hoses are cleaned fully automatically, safely and hygienically with alternating alkaline and acidic detergents. 2 The intuitive, menu-driven Primus feeding computer 3 makes it easy to invoke the numerous control and management functions of the feeder. 8 Extension packet Parallel feeding Feed four calves at the same time! A CalfMom Alma can supply four feeding stations in parallel with the Parallel feeding extension packet and thus feed four calves at the same time. Feed is supplied in a glass cylinder (200 ml / 6.8 oz) at the drinking station, filling is level-controlled. The calves suck the feed out of this buffer tank. 10 Supplementary module 2 nd calf milk replacer Simply economical! The supplementary module 2 nd calf milk replacer (CMR) enables the feeding of two different milk replacers to your calves. Using this so-called phase feeding always supplies the calf with the optimal energy and nutrients at every development stage, reliably preventing luxury consumption or undersupply. Whereas using a single calf milk replacer means having to compromise, the use of two milk replacers lets you choose a very high quality concentrated milk replacer, thus increasing the growth performance in the first two weeks. In addition, you can introduce the calf to the feeder earlier and thus shorten the labour-intensive phase where you feed your calves individually (by bottle or bucket). As known from feeding pigs, you can mix both feeds using any mixing ratio so that you can carry out the seamless transition from milk replacer 1 to milk replacer 2. This lets you economically expand an already available CalfMom Alma and use your existing automatic feeder more intensively.
