6 Valued added of DRR interventions Increased food production in refugee hosting families Increased earning and income for women in 56 communities implementing community gardens with vegetables production and livelihood activities. (tie & dye). Reduced hunger in food insecurity operation areas through the provision of the food basket for 4 months Reduced incidence of severe malnutrition among children in operation areas. Prevent flooding in communities and improve food production Improved environment sanitation due to increased acknowledge of communities on the relationship between proper sanitation and community s health
7 Valued added of DRR interventions Supported farmers initiative to increase the production of groundnut a major cash crop which ultimately increased their income and living standard. The provision of solar lamps to the student and labour ward contributed in reducing the risk of household and bush fires, poor lighting of labour wards improved. Provision of hand pumps wells has increased access to potable water, reduction of water borne and water related diseases Constructed VIP latrines contributed in the reduced incidence of gastrointestinal diseases in the communities. The increased capacity of the volunteers contributes to the NS strength, to assess, manage and mitigate DRR Save lives and improving health and wellbeing Give vulnerable the right to a honourable living

11 introduction The CRBF strategy to adapt drought : A community based action intended to help vulnerable households to fight against food insecurity due to the effects of CC, lack of nutrutional rules knowledge, and the increasing prices on the market.

15 Building resilience with the communities EWS developed with 10 provinces with high risk potential (flood, epidemic, pastors and farmers conflicts, food insecurity) VCA implemented in 5 provinces Simulation trainings ( fire, population movement )
16 Value added Two seasons vegetable productions : a response to the fail of rainy season crops. Diversification through the introduction of fruit trees, moringa and sweet potatoes in the Sahel gardens Village committees of nutrition in 9 provinces The main target for the DRR intervention is women
