Still, 1 in 5 is undernourished. In SSA 12% of adults have mobile bank accounts versus 2% worldwide. YOUNG WORK FORCE >60% of Africans is <25 years. By 2035, more SSA ns will reach working age than rest of world combined. YIELD POTENTIAL In SSA, crops yield only 20-30% of potential Africa irrigates only about 5% of its arable land, and uses only 2% of global fertilizers. In SSA, the average lifespan of a tractor is <1 year against 15 years in the UK. FERTILE LAND About half of the world s fertile unused land is in Africa.
