Today the Maschio Gaspardo Group is a major multi nati onal business company, renowned all over the world for its innovati ve products and as a serious and reliable business partner. More than 1,000 employees, 4 production facilities in Italy, 3 abroad, 13 commercial subsidiaries throughout the world. These are the numbers with which we address the challenges of the present and the future... with the character forged by our traditi on!

6 7 ZEBRA Till and place fertilizers only where is needed New Gaspardo ZEBRA can till and fertilize soil at the same, focusing both actions in a narrow strip. With ZEBRA dry fertilizer application is combined to a conservative tillage, which keeps crop residues in between of the rows preventing soil from erosion. 5 8 9 AGRONOMIC BENEFITS Advantages of strip till Strip till combines benefits typical of direct seeding to ones from traditional tillage, furthermore allows farmer to anticipate planting date. ZEBRA cuts costs, reduces times on field and lowers fuel consumption and fertilizer use in a easy and smart way. Loosening compacted and poor of oxygen soils guarantees a quicker drying up and thus earlier seeding time. Moreover this promotes process of crop residues conversion into organic matter. Has been proven that strip-tilled soils have better water infiltration and water retention than other techniques.

10 11 STRENGTH RUGGED FOR ROUGH! Arm strong ZEBRA tillage unit is designed to work at high speed, with high amount of residues and hard soil conditions. The parallel linkage arm is made of one high tensile steel cast piece. This design prevents from twisting and bending under loads and impacts which can occur in the toughest working conditions.

12 13 OPERATING UNIT 1 3 Front disc coulter The 18 (450 mm) wide disc coulter with notched edge has three positions of setting for the side gauge wheels to control working depth. It consistently cuts soil and residue at the best. Heavy duty shank The Heavy Duty shank, made of tempered boron steel, breaks up and refines soil from 4 (10 cm) up to a 10 (25 cm) of depth. Rear distributor delivers fertilizer at the bottom of furrow. 2 Row cleaners Several position of pin adjustment allows to set trash wheels at the best. It gives a perfect cleaning of the strip: residues are swept away from the tillage line preventing clogging Crumbler roller The rear crumbler roller prepares the seeding bed refining clods and leveling the surface. Its curved bars reconsolidate soil, most on the sides, keeping the center soft and raised from the ground surface. Containing discs Two side containing discs collect soil to the middle of the tilled strip, creating a small ridge in the center of it. Discs have water and dust proof hubs, and can be adjusted in many positions: incidence, angle and down pressure can fit all working conditions.

14 15 FERTILIZER SYSTEM Get the best form fertilization! Localize fertilizer gives significant benefits in terms of result and yield. Adopting strip distribution allows to reduce application rate, minimizing wastes. The precise and proven GASPARDO distributor system delivers the quantity of granular fertilizer into the tillage strip up to 455 lb per acre (500 kg per hectare). Localize stable elements like Phosphorus and Potassium directly under the seeding furrow does great advantage compared to traditional spreading distribution. At first growth stages rooting depth will be promoted, with positive effects on later crop resistance to water stresses and ability to adsorb soil nutrients. Distribution is driven by an hydraulic motor which can quickly change application rate even on the run. If connected with Precision Farming systems, fertilizer rate can be managed in relation to the machine s position, following a distribution program.

16 17 GPS DRIVE Satellite technology can enhance to the best strip-till functionality of ZEBRA. Using a D-GPS receiver is possible to optimize times and precision of tillage. Moreover, if tillage passages in field are memorized, later is possible to plant with extreme precision seeds in the middle of strips: this gives the best condition for a good crop start in early stages!
