Livestock is closely linked to food security, and to increase economic returns of the agricultural sector. Commercial farms include all farms specialized in the production of one or more livestock products. They are considered as food and investment sources of meat, egg and dairy production. Additionally, the agriculture sector supplies the industrial sector with raw materials and production requirements that are essential for many industries. Given the importance of commercial farms and small in number and accessibility, as well as the availability of a comprehensive framework has compiled data using a comprehensive survey method. Commercial farms are divided by type of animals to cattle farms, and chicken farms types: Broiler, and white, and breeders In view of the importance of commercial farms, its small number and the accessibility to visit them, in addition to the availability of a comprehensive framework, data was collected using the comprehensive surveying method. Based on type of animals, commercial farms were classified as cattlebreeding farms, and farms for rearing broiler chickens of all kinds, broiler, layer and parents stock farms. 37 3. Introduction Fisheries is one of the most important subactivities in the agricultural sector, as it contributes to the employment of labor and provides a decent life for a number of residents in the coastal areas, in addition to providing essential products for food consumption in the Emirate. The global demand for fish is steadily increasing with the expectation it will continue to rise due to population growth and rising incomes. The Emirate of Abu Dhabi enjoys a costal line that exceeds 5 kilometers, accommodating various marine lives. The UAE territorial water contains more than 2 islands of various size and historical and economic importance. The amount of fish caught in 2 totaled 3,922 tons, a decrease of 38% compared with 2. The estimated value of fish production amounted to about AED 69.4 million and it was caught in around 23,448 fishing trips, including 8% with Tarad and 9% with Lansh. Serranidae accounted for the highest value of caught fish, with AED 26.4 million or 38% of the total value of the catch in 2. This was followed by Scombridae worth 3. million dirhams or 9%, Lethrinidae with AED 2.8 million or 8% and Carangidae with AED 8. million or 2% of the total value. Livestock Statistics 2 37
