6 Why visit a Centre of Excellence? Our research has shown that traditional, extension-led training only results in 15% of farmers making changes to their farms. Our peer-to-peer, farmer-led model, however, is more effective for the following reasons: Affordable - rather than costly extension workers, peer-to-peer enables farmers to share cost-effective ideas. Accessible - by learning from their peers, in their local language, using farmer friendly materials: Centre of Excellence training is more accessible to smallholder farmers. Innovative - our training crowd sources ideas and innovations from a global network; connecting farmers and producer organizations around the world. Entrepreneurial - Farmers strengthen their farms as enterprises, building reslience and increasing their ability to thrive even in the face of changing circumstances. Who should attend a training? Individual Farmers, Extension Officers, Producer organisations, Government agencies, NGOs and Companies What next?
