SERIES CULTIVATOR The Penta 200 series cultivator sets the standard for reliable and effective field cultivation. With its unique mechanical depth control setup, its selfleveling drawbar package, and its rugged frame the 200 series cultivator is durable, user-friendly, and highly efficient. Available in either s-tine or c-shank configurations, and with a variety of harrow options, the Penta 200 series cultivators come perfectly matched for your tillage needs. Add it all up, and you get a cultivator that provides the durability and efficiency you need, while giving you the flexibility you desire.

5. The unique mechanical depth control system allows the operator to set the cultivator at specific working depths. As the cultivator is lowered, the depth control collar contacts the stop on the front arm, removing the load of the cultivator from the hydraulics and on to the depth stop. With no load on the hydraulics, and with a precise mechanical depth setting, the operator is assured trouble free and accurate operation. Slotted wing lift cylinder mounts allow wing pivots of up to 5 degrees in either direction. This allows for uncompromising terrain following, as well as no load on either the wing cylinders or lines when in field position. Rugged linkages and large wear points provide maximum weight bearing and minimum wear construction designed to provide long life to the frame. Additionally, the 200 series has been designed with positive tongue weight, making the unit stable and easy to attach or detach. Adjustable gauge wheels are standard on all units 30 wide and larger, and available as an option on smaller units.

SERIES CULTIVATOR HOW DO YOU IMPROVE ON A CULTIVATOR THAT COMBINES A RUGGED DESIGN AND EFFICIENT OPTIONS? ADD UNEQUALLED TERRAIN FOLLOWING. The Penta 300 series cultivators are built with the same design and quality as the 200 series, with one major addition a unique, patent-pending floating and oscillating hitch. By adding this hitch feature to an already effective cultivator, the 300 series provides even and precise tillage depth in all conditions.

7. The Penta 300 Series cultivator carries all the same features as the 200 series, with one major difference - the floating front hitch. The 300 series floating hitch improves upon existing floating hitch technology by adding an oscillating front caddy. The floating hitch allows the cultivator to contour over hills and valleys with more precision than a fixed hitch cultivator, while the oscillation of the front caddy means that the mainframe is able to flex side to side, giving you better ground contact. TINES Both the Penta 200 series and 300 series are available in either s-tine or c-shank configurations. S-tine machines feature 4 spacing between tines. S-tines come standard with 3 cast shovels, which increase shovel life up to 5 times over mild steel shovels. 4 shovels are also available. C-shank units are available with lb trip pressure. 7 sweeps are standard, with the option of 9 sweeps also available if needed. HARROWS Penta offers various harrow combinations to suit your tillage needs. Combinations include single or double basket rollers, 3 finger tines or 3 bar spike harrows with or without a single basket, and 5 bar spike harrows. Additional harrows may be available talk to your local Penta tillage dealer for more information. 3 YEAR STRUCTURAL WARRANTY Penta Tillage products come standard with a 3 year frame warranty. All other components are covered under a one-year warranty. Wear components, such as shovels or sweeps, are not covered. See your Penta Tillage dealer for additional details.

SERIES HARROW FINISHER The Penta 500 series harrow finisher is simply the most versatile machine you will ever own. Used either on its own or in combination with a 200 or 300 series cultivator, the 500 series finisher gives you the finishing tool you need for the perfect seedbed. The finisher can be used in both spring and fall conditions. The 500 series masters any tillage task with efficiency whether it s soil warming, weed control, residue management, or seedbed finishing. Designed to run at higher speeds while requiring less horsepower, the 500 series is an effective, flexible, and efficient tool a tool of choice for any tillage program.

9. Easily adjustable 18 coil tines are a common option on the 500 series finisher. The finisher is available with or without tines, and in single or double basket combinations. The 500 series features excellent clearance between the tine sections and baskets, creating excellent trash flow and soil distribution. The rollers can be set to pack and firm, or reversed to fluff the soil surface. Similar to the 200 and 300 series cultivators, the 500 series features a robust build and a quality design. Unique solid mount rubber bushings eliminate the use of chains and springs, enhancing performance. As well, the unit is balanced to provide the positive tongue weight that is found in all Penta tillage products.

10. FARM TESTED Penta believes that the farmer knows his land, and his equipment needs, better than anyone else. So naturally, when it comes to putting our products to the test, we put them in the hands of the farmer. With various farm tests, farmer feedback and input, and results that speak for themselves we re able to bring you a product that we know will excel in the field. Penta tillage products are not only farm tested they re farmer approved.

FROM THE MOUTHS OF FARMERS 11. TOM PARKINS 3rd Generation Organic Farmer 900 acres Penta had a new cultivator and it was the heaviest cultivator I had ever seen. I have put a bunch of acres through it I am running a 26 right now, and sometimes we till as deep as 8. The cultivator has really stood up well, and I like the way the harrows are heavy designed. I have also tried out the new finishing harrow. The finishing harrow does a great job and makes a nice seed bed. You are able to work 4-5 deep with the harrow, and I believe the two tools work well hooked together. Both pieces are really good working tools, and that s why I bought them. MIKE KRALL Egg producer in Lambton County, Ontario 500 acres cash crop land I bought a Penta cultivator a couple years ago and really enjoyed the equipment. Probably the best thing for me is the frame clearance for moving through trash. I use it both in the spring as a finishing tool, and also in the summertime to work down wheat ground. The depth control on it is second to none. It s a real advantage knowing that you have a level surface of shovels for even tillage in the spring. I don t work it deep in the spring to save as much moisture as I can, and the cultivator does a phenomenal job at the depth that I need to work. JEFF STEWARDSON Dairy farmer milking 250 cows Crops over 800 acres of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and wheat The farm has been in our family for over 50 years and we are using a Penta cultivator in a number of applications. In spring we use it for tillage to prepare our fields for seeding corn and soybean, and in the fall to work soybean ground and to plant wheat. We prefer to put our wheat in stubble conventionally in the fall as opposed to no-till. Our soil is clay loam and is quite variable. We have to be careful to incorporate residue so as to keep our organic water levels high. We believe that the cultivator is doing that job quite well. The cultivator that we have is a 36 s-tine and it s very rugged. It is also customized for what we ve asked for, and is unique to our needs. Penta was helpful in changing everything we wanted and customizing it to fill it to our needs. The floating hitch option has added stability to the cultivator and kept the cultivator at more of a level plain on the uneven terrain. It has better turning with our articulating tractor and we find it follows better as well.
