1 Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP) The Project for Installation of Agricultural Machineries for Poor and Landless Farmers in Nachole Upazilla and Tanore Upazilla Project Outline Project Site Recipient Organization: Agriculture Sustainable & Socio Economic Development Organization (ASSEDO) Grant Amount: $123,338 (BDT 9,867,100) Purpose of Grant: Equipment Grant Contract Date: 19 December 2012 Operation Starting Date: 25 April 2013 Nachole & Tanore, Chapainawabganj Project Brief: ASSEDO was awarded the grant for its project to procure modern agricultural equipment with an aim to increase productivity & harvesting capacity, improve irrigation facilities and reduce production cost in order to the increase households' income. 2 Outer Appearance These equipment are stationed in Nachole and Tanore Upazillas of Chapainawabganj district where farming is one of the major income sources.. It is expected that 1800 farmers will get benefit from this project every year. Power Tiller Thresher Machine The power tillers will enhance cultivation for small agricultural lands. It reduces plowing time and production cost. The thresher machines will increase harvesting. It reduces harvesting wastage and increase profit.

3 Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP) The Project for the Construction of Farmers Training Center in Dhamrai Project Outline Project Site Dhamrai, Savar Recipient Organization: Society for Development Initiatives (SDI) Ground Amount: $121,623 (BDT 91,21, ) Purpose of Grant: Construction and Equipment Grant Contract Date: 13 March 2014 Operation Starting Date: 02 May 2016 Project Brief: With Japanese fund SDI constructed a farmers training centre for small and middle size farmers with a view to promote organic farming and to improve farmers agricultural productivity capacity that would increase their income and ensure food safety. 4 Outer Appearance This facility is easily accessible from Dhaka- Savar highway. Majority of the inhabitants of the area is engaged in agricultural production. Therefore, this facility would be able to provide them with training on modern methods for organic farming. Agricultural Equipment and Seeds Demonstration Plots This project is expected to benefit 1332 farmers per year. Demo plots are providing practical knowledge on rice production, poultry, animal farming, vermicomposting and alike.

5 Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP) The Project for the Establishment of a Community Radio Station in Gaibandha Project Outline Recipient Organization: SKS Foundation Ground Amount: $70,692 (BDT 54,36,214.80) Purpose of Grant: Construction & Equipment Grant Contract Date: 29 March 2015 Operation Starting Date: 01 April 2016 Project Site Radhakrishnapur, Gaibandha Project Brief: With the community radio station established through the Japanese assistance, SKS foundation is broadcasting information programs on disaster, education, health, culture and alike with a view to decreasing the natural disaster damages and ensuring sustainable community development in Char areas of Gaibandha. 6 Outer Appearance The facility is located in Gaibandha Sadar Upazilla. With a capacity of 17 KM radius frequency, it is able to cover the Char areas of the region. Console Panel Radio Sarabela 98.8 FM Modern broadcasting equipment have been installed in this facility with a view to provide quality listening experience. Radio Sarabela is expected to benefit at least 1,040,813 residents of the region per year.

7 Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP) The Project for the Expansion of Coronary Care Services in Rafatullah Community Hospital in Bogra Sadar Project Outline Recipient Organization: Thengamara Mohila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS) Ground Amount: $72,922 (BDT 56,07,701.80) Purpose of Grant: Equipment Grant Contract Date: 29 March 2015 Operation Starting Date: 01 April 2016 Project Site Thengamara, Bogra Project Brief: With the Japanese assistance, TMSS installed the extended medical treatment facilities to patients suffering from coronary disease in order to provide prompt and appropriate treatments and save their lives. These facilities are expected to provide medical care for road traffic casualties, too. (Reference:

8 Outer Appearance The facility is located on Bogra highway which is the prime spot for road accident causalities. Since, the hospital has a good road communication, it attracts patients with heart disease and road causalities from all over the region. C-arm CCU & Post-CCU Beds and Pace-maker This state-of-art C-arm machine is being used to provide advanced medical diagnosis services for patients with road casualties. At least 2000 patients per year is expected to be benefited from this project.
