6 1922 La Coopérative fédérée de Québec is born by merging three main cooperatives: the Coopérative des fromagers de Québec, the Comptoir coopératif de Montréal and the Société des producteurs de semences de Sainte-Rosalie The co-operative's poultry and feed mill facilities are modernized and automated and starts selling farm equipment in the dairy sector Petroleum products begin to be sold through the Sonic division The hardware and farm machinery sector is created with the opening of the distribution centre in Trois-Rivières Olymel is born. Today, it is the Canadian leader for pork and poultry production, processing and distribution Olymel is established in Western Canada with the acquisition of the slaughterhouse in Red Deer, Alberta Expansion begins outside Québec in the ferilizer industry with the acquisition of Agronomy Company of Canada and Agrico Groupe BMR, in which La Coop fédérée has had a minority stake since 2013, becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary. 5

8 SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Best Employer Thanks to its commitments to developing healthy lifestyles and mutual trust, La Coop fédérée entered into the prestigious circle of Best Employers in 2015 after the Canada-wide investigation led by the company Aon. Involvement in the community $128.8 million in dividends has been paid to member cooperatives of La Coop fédérée s network over 5 years. Nearly $600,000 invested in donations, sponsorships and bursaries in 2015 in the agriculture, healthy lifestyle, cultural and education sectors. Support for the next generation of farmers Established in 2008, the Fonds coopératif d aide à la relève agricole financially supports young farmers and contributes to the development of their skills in agronomy and financial & cooperative management. 412 young entrepreneurs have benefited from the fund since Employee support & training Launch of the Santé La Coop program in 2010 to promote physical activity, healthy eating and a workpersonal life balance for employees. In 2015, La Coop fédérée invested $1.8 million in training as part of its Performance Management and Development Program. 7
