2 Pre or post harvest SYNBIONT has the product for your operation. Our Mission SYNBIONT manufactures products that deliver exceptional value to the fruit and vegetable industry. From growers to packers, we work hard to provide a safe, effective improvement to crop yields and increased food safety efforts in post-harvest production. After realizing a legitimate need in the marketplace, we invested years of research and development to deliver the Synbiont line of products. Today, we can proudly say that our products make a signifi cant difference and improve both the growing and packing aspects of the fruit and vegetable supply chain. Synbiont Crop Enhancer was developed to make your fungicides and insecticides work far better than traditional surfactants at controlling bacterial and fungal diseases. Synbiont Fruit and Vegetable Wash is an environmentally friendly cleaning step that reduces foodborne illness and also dramatically increases the effi cacy of sanitizers to enhance food safety efforts and reduce post-harvest decay. Our Science We utilize a unique and patented blending process of products that are fully compliant within the EPA and FDA code of federal regulations. All Synbiont products are created from a blend of anionic surfactants (negatively charged molecules) that demonstrate a unique penetrating and cleaning ability. These surfactants were selected because of their high water solubility and activity at low concentrations. These biodegradable products help to remove the substrates on which microbes thrive.

3 Synbiont Crop Enhancer A surfactant, adjuvant and enhancer to supercharge your fungicides and pesticides. Synbiont Crop Enhancer is based on a synergistic combination of powerful anionic surfactants that provide superior surface and penetration activity to dramatically improve and enhance fungicides and insecticides that are commonly used in fruit and vegetable production. Synbiont Fruit and Vegetable Wash A powerful tool in the fight against foodborne illness and post harvest decay. Food Safety is one of the biggest challenges to any institution involved in the food industry. From the field to the dinner table, it is not only in everyone s best interest to stay ahead of the curve with Food Safety issues, but a moral obligation for anyone entrusted with the responsibility of feeding the public. That s where Synbiont Fruit and Vegetable Wash can be a very powerful tool in the fight against food borne illness and post harvest decay that cost the Fruit & Vegetable industry millions of dollars a year in decaying product.

4 CROP ENHANCER Synbiont Crop Enhancer not only has excellent wetting and penetrating properties, but does so much more! Its advanced surfactant technology incorporates a synergistic blend of powerful anionic surfactants that together dramatically enhance fungicides and pesticides used in fruit and vegetable crops. Include Synbiont Crop Enhancer in your chemical application and see the difference for yourself. Synbiont Crop Enhancer has been extensively tested both in the laboratory and in field trials; it has been observed that weekly use of Synbiont Crop Enhancer with a comprehensive spray program greatly reduced the incidences of diseases in various fruit and vegetable crops: Tomatoes and peppers - bacterial spot, speck, and canker, early and late blights, and enhances pesticides that are used to control pests such as whitefly/aphids Cucurbits such as squashes, cucumbers and melons downy mildew, powdery mildew, and angular leaf spot and enhances pesticides that are used to control pests such as whitefly/aphids Strawberries - botrytis, powdery mildew, and angular leaf spot Potatoes - early and late blights, soft rot, pink rot, silver scurf Leafy greens - with no re-entry restrictions, pre harvest applications can help to clean and wash away problem organisms that could cause human illness Citrus - citrus canker, and enhances the pesticides that are used for brown citrus aphid and other pests Helps achieve sanitization goals by having cleaner fruit and creating a synergistic reaction with fungicides and sanitizers to reduce fungi, bacteria, and human pathogens. Application Rates: Maintenance - 24oz of product per 100 gallons of water (1:500) for use with fungicides, bactericides, herbicides and insecticides to enhance the effectiveness of the antimicrobial/antifungal action and to maintain control of foliar diseases. Outbreak control - 50oz of product per 100 gallons of water (1:250) is recommended during times of disease to enhance products that control blights, fungal and bacterial diseases. Use of a weather sticker is recommended if the possibility of rain, dew, or with overhead irrigation. Citrus or low volume sprayers - 1gallon of product per 100 gallons of water (1:100) may be used. However, a controlled mix test is recommended prior to large batch use. Compatibility - This product is compatible with common vegetable chemicals. However some field trials have shown some foliar burn when used with systemic fungicides that contain Mefenoxam (Ridomil, Apron, Subdue, etc.); potentially incompatible with some biological products (beneficial fungi or bacteria). Reasons to use: Supercharge your spray applications and enhance other products Increase control of crop disease and pests Reduce your spray costs without changing your chemical program Increase yields

6 FRUIT AND VEGETABLE WASH Chemistry Incorporating advanced surfactant technologies utilizing a patented blend of surfactants and organic acids that have a unique, active synergy, these products were selected because of their high water solubility, compatibility with other chemicals, superior cleaning/ emulsifying properties, and a high activity at low concentrations. A powerful part of your sanitation process Extensively tested and shown to dramatically enhance the antimicrobial action of chlorine at levels as low as 25 ppm against spoilage organisms Erwinia Carotovora (Bacterial Soft Rot) and Geotrichum Candidum (Sour Rot). Stabilize the chemistry of sanitizing solutions Sanitizing in a consistent and controlled set of parameters such as ph and a specified ppm of a sanitizer can be very challenging due to organic matter such as soil or leaves that fruits and vegetables unavoidably introduce to any process. Synbiont Fruit and Vegetable Wash s advanced formulation of surfactants and acids help balance the ph, increasing effects of chlorine and reduce the organic matters ability to obstruct the sanitizer s action, leaving a more balanced and easy to maintain water chemistry. Washing and cleaning Synbiont Fruit and Vegetable Wash not only supercharges sanitizers, and maintains a stable sanitizing chemistry, but also has powerful cleaning and washing properties. Powerful anionic surfactants power away dirt, pesticides, soil, and bio-films caused by bacterial build up; this is especially helpful when dealing with tubers or crops harvested near ground level. Compatibility This product is shown to be completely compatible with standard chlorine or bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite). Regulatory Biodegradable, environmentally friendly, food grade and complies fully with EPA CFR inert ingredients exempt from the requirements of a tolerance, and FDA CFR for washing fruits and vegetables. Also registered in CA Reg. No AA. Application Rates: Dump Tanks, Flumes and Drench For use in flumes with chlorine (or other sanitizers) dilute 1 gallon of F&V Wash to 800 gallons of water (1:800). For spray, drench, or rinse applications or heavy soiled environments, 1 gallon of F&V Wash to 400 gallons of water (1:400) should be used. Synbiont may be added with a metered pump to offset the addition of fresh water to maintain the desired concentration. Storage To help extend shelf life of some produce, a final rinse using Synbiont F&V Wash and potable water is recommended. Disposal This product is readily biodegradable, dispose of using normal septic or municipal sewage facilities according to local and state regulations. Compatibility Studies are currently being done with peroxide based products such as peracetic acid. Due to the foaming nature of this product it should be added last into the mixing tank or flume to avoid excess harmless foam. A food grade anti-foam agent is available from EQ Ag Solutions if needed. Reasons to use: Improve sanitation program Extend shelf life of your product Increase food safety confidence Fewer product rejections Less time spent balancing ph and sanitizing levels
