2 Genex Cooperative, Inc. With strong roots from 48 predecessor organizations and a strong commitment to maximizing member and customer profits, Genex has provided reproductive service and high-quality semen from breed-leading sires for over 60 years. Membership involvement, research and development, profitable and fertile sires, and a team approach to reproductive service have been forefront to the success of the cooperative. Genex membership currently spans the 48 continental U.S. states allowing dairy and beef producers to experience the pride of ownership and benefits of membership. Through elected delegates, the general membership guides the cooperative and provides input to senior management and producer directors. Genex and its predecessors have pioneered many industry firsts. Genex is known for conducting research which lead to present-day evaluations for calving ease, protein, herdlife and linear type traits. Today, Genex continues to lead the industry, developing evaluations like SynchSmart, conducting on-farm research and examining internal fertility data to further improve semen processing and A.I. techniques. To help producers reach farm profit goals, the Genex breeding program centers on sires that lead to longer-living, healthier cows which breed back promptly, have good udders, correct feet and legs, and make milk efficiently. Genex is the leading source for profitable sires (demonstrated by Lifetime Net Merit) and outperforms other organizations with the most high Lifetime Net Merit, high fertility sires available in the industry. To meet the needs and goals of individual cattle producers, Genex offers a customized approach to genetic and reproductive programs. From corrective mating to insemination, heat detection, synchronization, data analysis and complete reproductive consulting, Genex teams can develop a program to best fit individual operations.
