4 MEGATRON S3 The microprocessor controlled ophthalmic surgical system for the anterior and posterior segment of the eye meets the highest quality standards regarding functionality and user-friendliness. Through its modular design the MEGATRON S3 features the utmost flexibility for all kinds of surgeons preferences. The MEGATRON S3 P features an advanced peristaltic pump ideally suited for cataract surgery and especially for high vacuum phaco techniques. The integrated venturi effect offers excellent followability of nuclear fragments and venturi-like vacuum control for vitreoretinal surgery. The MEGATRON S3 V uses a venturi pump with adjustable rise time for controlled vacuum response. Its aspiration characteristics make it the top choice for vitreoretinal surgeons. The MEGATRON S3 VIP offers a unique dual peristaltic/ venturi aspiration system which combines the advantages of both pump types. The surgeon can switch from venturi to peristaltic or vice versa intraoperatively.
