5 BioGnost BioGnost s production activity began with immunohematology production line. Since the very beginning our goal has been production of high quality, fast and reliable diagnostic devices that enable accurate immunohematologic diagnoses. The first products in this line were the ABO and Rh blood typing reagents. Currently this range contains more than 70 products, many of which are a part of the MonoGnost brand. Some of the line s most notable products include the ABO and Rh blood typing reagents, as well as many other hematology diagnostic reagents (AHG, Alsever, Bio-Liss, Albumin 22%, Bromelin). The reagents quality and reliability provide exceptional results. For more info ask our sales team or visit our web page.

15 HEMOGNOST FETAL KIT HemoGnost Fetal kit HemoGnost Fetal kit Reagents for detecting fetal erythrocytes and their count in mother s bloodstream Transfer of Rh positive fetus erythrocytes into Rh negative mother s bloodstream may cause specific Rh antibodies to form in maternal bloodstream. In subsequent pregnancies these erythrocytes are transferred to fetus bloodstream via placenta. If the fetus is Rh positive, mother s antibodies will attack fetus Rh positive erythrocytes and cause hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN). HemoGnost Fetal kit is a useful diagnostic device used for diagnosing various conditions, such as: fetal-maternal hemorrhage that occurs during pregnancy complications, abdominal trauma and surgical procedures, such as amniocentesis or analysis of chorionic villus vaginal bleeding (detects if the blood originates from the mother or the fetus) origin of the blood in amniotic fluid HemoGnost Fetal kit contains 3 reagents in 3 packages* Reagent name HemoGnost Fetal 1 reagent HemoGnost Fetal 2 reagent HemoGnost Fetal 3 reagent Description Fixative Reagent for eluting hemoglobin A Reagent for counterstaining hemoglobin F Available volumes 100, ml, 250 ml, 500 ml 100, ml, 250 ml, 500 ml 100, ml, 250 ml, 500 ml * HemoGnost Fetal reagents are sold as a kit or separately Erythrocytes of adults contain hemoglobin A that cannot be retained in erythrocytes after applying an acid reagent. Fetal erythrocytes contain fetal hemoglobin F resistant to acid reagent, enabling it to be retained within the cell and stained with a counterstain. BioGnost s HemoGnost Fetal kit enables clear differentiation between colorless erythrocytes of adults (so-called erythrocyte ghosts) and fetal erythrocytes (stained rose-pink). That enables red blood cell counting and quantifying the fetal-maternal RBC ratio.
