2 ULTRON VX-ODS ULTRON VX-ODS columns are reversed phase columns employing high purity silica gel (>99.99%) as a substrate to which octadecyl groups are chemically bonded. In addition, the use of unique end-capping technology has resulted in a high density end-capped packing material with extremely low residual silanol effects. Features 1 Reproducibility between column lots: ULTRON VX-ODS columns are checked using stringent quality control in each manufacturing process. As an example, k' and α values obtained using ULTRON VX-ODS columns display only extremely small differences between lots. ULTRON VX-ODS columns also display excellent reproducibility and stability in other tests between column lots. 2 Pressure resistance: Because ULTRON VX-ODS columns use spherical silica gel, they display excellent pressure resistance, and stable separations can be achieved even at fast mobile phase flow rates. 3 Stereoselectivity, distribution equilibria: Because ULTRON VX-ODS columns utilize ODS monolayers, they display excellent stereoselectivity with respect to sample molecules. Distribution equilibria are reached rapidly when performing gradient elutions and when mobile phases are changed. 3 ULTRON VX-Octyl ULTRON VX-Octyl columns are reversed-phase columns consisting of octyl groups (C8) bonded to a silica gel substrate. As these columns display weaker retention in comparison with ULTRON VX-ODS columns thus enabling shorter analysis times, they are particularly effective for analyses of highly hydrophobic compounds. These columns display superior stability due to the use of the high precision synthesis technology used to manufacture ULTRON VX-ODS columns. Features 1 ULTRON VX-Octyl columns provide shorter analysis times than ODS columns and can also maintain high separation capacities. 2 Volumes of organic solvents can be reduced. 3 ULTRON VX-Octyl columns have very low variations between lots and display excellent reproducibility. 4 Distribution equilibriums can be achieved quickly making these columns perfect for gradient elutions. 4 ULTRON VX-SIL ULTRON VX-SIL columns are normal phase columns employing high purity silica gel (>99.99%), thereby reducing sample absorption by metal oxides to the lowest possible levels. These columns are packed with spherical silica particles resulting in low analytical pressures and extended column lifetimes.
