9 What is KES value? KES (Kawabata Evaluation System) is a test equipment to measure softness and smoothness. Treated fabrics are subjected to a KES evaluation. 15 Easy Emulsification - Procedure for 70% actives emulsion formulation - Charge Magnasoft CJS Textile Enhancer, emulsifiers & butyl carbitol. Mix well until fully homogeneous. - Slowly add the water solution to silicone/ emulsifiers blend while mixing. Avoid stirring at high speed to prevent foaming. Note: Test results. Actual results may vary. Procedure for 10% actives emulsion formulation - Charge Magnasoft CJS Textile Enhancer, emulsifiers & butyl carbitol. Mix well until fully homogeneous. - Dissolve acetic acid and sodium acetate in water. - Slowly add the water solution to silicone/ emulsifiers blend while mixing. 17 A Sample Emulsification for More Hydrophilicity - Procedure for the sample emulsification - Charge Magnasoft CJS Textile Enhancer, Magnasoft TLC Hydrophilic Textile Softener, TDE-5 and TDE-10 into a mixer. - Start stirring at 500 rpm for 5 minutes. - Add initial water and keep stirring at 500~800 rpm until fully homogeneous and translucent. - Slowly add the final water while stirring at 500 rpm. - Stop stirring and wait until the foam collapses. - A clear micro-emulsion may be obtained.
