Ideally, IV fluids should be administered as close to body temperature as possible to all patients for better therapeutic results. Veterinary patients, either small in size or in possible hypovolemic shock, benefit greatly from receiving warm IV fluids (~100 F) versus room temperature (70 F) fluids. However, maintaining a ready supply of warmed fluids has been difficult. The JorVet Bullpen is an IV fluid warming station that maintains unopened IV fluid bags at a ready to use temperature of 100 F. Up to 4 one-liter bags of IV fluids can be warmed and kept ready to use.
