2 Made in Italy OVILENS IN THE WORLD Norway Portugal QUOTIDIA PRODUCTS FOR OPTHALMOLOGY BY OVILENS Australia Sweden Finland THE NEW APPROACH TO IMPROVE VISUAL COMFORT FOR PATIENTS The OVI Lens company, established in Trapani (Sicily) in 2008, produces therapeutic contact lenses, eye drops, supplements and ophthalmic instruments. Lithuania Technology, talent and innovation blend together in the young, dynamic operating structure of OVI Lens. The company premises, which cover an area of approximately 11,000 square metres, include a research and development department with specialised engineers, a chemistry laboratory and an electronics laboratory, two clean rooms, a mechanical workshop, a warehouse for the storage of raw materials and one for storing finished products, a server room and, lastly, a show room. The specific equipment owned by the company, its technical and instrument resources and the highly specialised staff in its operating units make OVI Lens a company that can deal with the entire production chain, from the birth of an idea to the creation of the finished product and its distribution in the market - all proudly Made in Italy. 3 Made in Italy THE ALOE HIDRA SYSTEM The OVI Lens contact lenses of the Quotidia Aloe line are made using an innovative patented system, the Aloe Hydra System (A.H.S.) for damaged issues, with a regenerating, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. Aloe, which is the main ingredient of the lenses, is famous for a number of properties: REGENERATIVE - it stimulates new epithelial growth on wounds PROTEOLYTIC AND HEALING - it dissolves and absorbs damaged or dead cells ANTI-INFLAMMATORY - it soothes and helps overcome inflammatory processes MOISTENING - it favours water retention in tissues ANALGESIC - it provides relief from pain (deep and superficial) FUNGICIDAL - it hinders fungal growth VIROSTATIC - it hinders viral growth BACTERIOSTATIC - it hinders bacterial growth HEMOSTATIC - it reduces bleeding from lesions The lenses unique composition improves the repair and regeneration of the eye surface following pathological, surgical and traumatic lesions. They are therefore particularly suitable as ocular bandage and after surgery in the anterior segment. Formulation Quotidia Aloe lenses are made of ionic material (Methafilcon A and 55% H2O) which make them fully compatible with eye drops used for therapy (antibiotics, NSAIDs, etc.) and allow full re-epithelisation in about 4/5 days. This feature of Quotidia Aloe lenses is particularly important because it reduces the incidence of infectious keratitis1 after surgery, unlike other patients who are treated with the commonly used high DK lenses (high permeability to oxygen). The same lens can be used for up to 7 consecutive days without being replaced. There are two different models of Quotidia Aloe lenses: therapeutic scleral lenses and therapeutic corneal lenses. 1 - J Cataract Refract Surg Oct;37(10): Infectious keratitis in 18,651 laser surface ablation procedures. de Rojas V, Llovet F, Martínez M, Cobo-Soriano R, Ortega-Usobiaga J, Beltrán J, Baviera J

4 Made in Italy QUOTIDIA ALOE THERAPEUTIC SCLERAL QUOTIDIA ALOE THERAPEUTIC CORNEAL These large diameter lenses (17.5 mm) cover the cornea and limbus completely and rest directly on the sclera. These neutral contact lenses for medical use have double curvature radius and are suitable as ocular bandages. They stimulate repair processes after traumas, ulcers and corneal abrasion. PATENTED Quotidia Aloe therapeutic corneal lenses combine the advantages of a therapeutic lens with the refreshing and trophic action of Aloe. Better adhesion to the eye. Scleral lenses extend under the eyelids and rarely change position. They keep the tear film trapped between the lens and the epithelium, protecting the cornea and allowing it to heal better. They have zero optical power, i.e. they have no refractive power. Therapeutic scleral lenses are a modern approach to restoring normal conditions in the eye after surgery in the anterior segment (refractive, CXL, pterygium). Quotidia Aloe therapeutic scleral lenses combine the advantages of a scleral lens with the refreshing and trophic action of Aloe. The central thickness of the lens is 75 micron, which allows greater oxygenation of the corneal epithelium thanks to double radius of curvature. MORE PROTECTION The cornea is better protected during the time it needs to heal. MORE HYDRATION Hydration of the ocular surface is continuous. CONTROLLED DRUG RELEASE Thanks to its shape, therapeutic contact lenses allow a better absorption of drugs, which are directly in contact with the eye for long periods of time. Quotidia therapeutic corneal lenses have a 75 micron thickness in the centre, which allows greater oxygenation of the corneal epithelium thanks to the double radius of curvature
